Saying that, I have no idea about what was up with the braking last night.. Was all over the damn place!
I noticed that on around lap 8 in race one that the grip just seemed to go on holiday yet I managed to get fastest lap after that.Saying that, I have no idea about what was up with the braking last night.. Was all over the damn place!
I think what happened was Joe rolled. But on my screen (and presumably yours) it looked like he just went straight on plowing into you. I thought that was a bit odd. There was a little incident on lap 7 with Orama and Joe (I think it was them but don't quote me on it)
I had that too with Snow as I could brake later than the FWD's into T1 but for some reason it didn't grip at all and I went straight on. The car was beautiful at the start and the tyres switched on really well and I was looking for a podium but as it got wetter my traction got worse so that I was just getting mugged off the corners. And grip was weird last night, the last lap in R3 I braked earlier than usual into turn 1 but ended up way off track![]()
Nope, you were just fineI don't suppose anyone had any issues with my overly defensive driving? ^^
Can we just have a general clampdown on divebombing from now on? The incident that I quoted on the last page wasn't anything about moving over on my part, it was literally trying to make up 5/6 car lengths under braking, which is never going to work. And grip was weird last night, the last lap in R3 I braked earlier than usual into turn 1 but ended up way off track![]()
So you didn't use the mirrors as noted above well at least we cleared that up.I only moved over because I thought that nobody in their right mind would divebomb me. Also, I was never going to touch Scania, because i'd braked at the correct distance.
At Silverstone testing in the full wet I could keep up with Yera so I guess the slower tracks are where the Hyundai is not so good.
Quite selective when you've skipped the parts when both of them moved over in the braking areas making contact with me pushing at those anglesand you still didn't explain you pushing me into scania.
As I said in the one you actually did move over in the braking area which upset the balance of the car and once the rangey is upset under brakes then it's hard to stop the 1300kg with the high centre.
I always signaled my intension by moving my car off line if people still move across under the braking area (which in yeras pictures they did both hsv and panoz but you can also see my car is "offline") then it shows the other drivers aren't using mirrors which they really should.
If I had someone who's car as one of the best brakes and seen them offline in my mirrors coming to a corner then I would leave room as would suspect they would be coming down the inside and I would try and get them on corner exit like what both snow and gkm did with me. The mirrors are there for a reason.
Oh and btw you didn't make up 2 slots on that move because you didn't get past me.
I think maybe the rangey should be +5 Bhp than +10 as it did seem abit quick although the fords were still leaving me for dead in the straights along with race and dks Honda.
Just did a quick test at Willow. 18.804 so far
It was always going to be fast round here, as you said it has loads of torque, and its ability to go over kerbs really well meant it was going to be very fast. From what i've seen of it, if you can get the nose in it's a really balanced car, which is crucial for the fast corners leading onto the back straight. He always gained a tenth or two through those corners alone. The Range Rover really is huge and always reminds me what I hate about SUVs. You really don't see anything following close behind one.
By the way, regarding BoP: The RR had a best lap of 1:32.7 without any draft in race 1. That was a whopping 0.8 faster than anyone else.
Apparently Makes title fight is still going strong, after Honda gained 38 points on Ford to bring the gap to the lead to only 5 points... 👍
Here's the info

Yep looking forward to it. Willows a strong track for both cars.
Rules coming in for next season by the way to prevent as much driver car changes, and ensure teams stay stronger.
