Ouch! :ouch: Seen a couple big ones at Anglesey. @Spurgy 777 knows the walls quite well there too. We haven't been there in a couple years, the TR seems to have oil pressure issues there and it's a long way to go to see if it still has them or not ;) Hope you can get the money together to race again this year. You should start selling some t-shirts ;)
Haha if only it were that easy, bloody BTCC drivers ;)

Know of a few who've had big offs at Anglesey too.. Not fun. Nice enough track but the weather plays a big part in the conditions there too.

I got caught out by the wind going into the corkscrew. On the Friday it was heading uphill, so with the head wind I had more grip. But on the Saturday it was going downhill which meant all 4 wheels lifted off the ground, I counter steered thinking I'd lost the rear, and when I landed it shot me off into the barrier :(

TIL Spurgy does not like to be beside the seaside.

Anglesey is tricky... Even for Tiff Needell...

All I remember is they used to do a lot of their time attacks at Anglesey - but tend to do them at Cadwell a lot in the last few years!

Yeah that's a really old video I guess, the track was re-done in 2007 or so, it's a lot better than that now.

It is they completely changed it a few years back.
Yep, you can still walk on the old bits of the track. They changed it and Fifth Gear moved.

It looked like this till 2006

But now this

Just went on to do some testing.

Don't like the new rev counter just thought id share that

I wish I could even get to test, I have had no luck whatsoever in updating and it's just making me despair.

Ouch indeed. If that happened at Church corner and it was me that it happened to, I would be saying "Forgive me Father for I had a loss of racing talent at that moment."

Can't you leave it going? Mine took 15 minutes total but I've got a nearly 2 year old 320gig with BT fibre optic Internet.

He left it overnight, but to no avail.

Looking forward to getting my first points of the season this weekend.

The 86 has really good race pace at Silverstone. You need to be aggressive early on, because in the first few laps it has a huge advantage over the others. Once you get a yourself into a good spot, just stay out of trouble, and keep the pace on.

Right everyone remember to block him in. Us FWD have to stick together.

All the RWDs outpace the FWDs in the first sector, the Focus was closest at around .150 slower in S1 than them. :D

They're also good through Stowe onward. FWDs strong point is the straight.

Yes, I've tried, but no-one has helped me so far - one member has gone as far as to virtually rub salt in my wounds. I'll try moving my thread into the main GT6 forum.

What exactly is your problem?

For me for example for no known reason it took around 3 hours between downloading/installing the patch and the subsequent GT6 in-game update to complete... while for some people it took only 15 minutes...

Internet speeds play a good part on that. Router models do too. I had a crappy Linksys that failed all the time, I switched to Cisco and bam!, great internet.

That's what it was like for me. At first the in-game update progress bar went up to 130 minutes to complete, then it suddenly went down to 20 minutes or so, which is what it took (if not less).

Problems might occur though when your internet goes down for some reason while you install.

Both GT5 and GT6 both don't cope well with this kind of thing. You basically have to quit/restart for the game to remember your login-bonus again, etc.

My problem is that the progress bar never goes beyond 5%, and the screen is stuck at "10x (x being any number from 4 to 20) minutes remaining".

I'll try restarting my router to see if that helps.

Could we see some Points Tables, Furi? 👍

My place for today might be under slight jeopardy, but hopefully I can make it 👍

Good morning everybody. Happy race day.
