Since you seem to think you're some godlike figure here, I challenge you to produce a video showing SRF off then run my times. Think you can speedy?

Since you think you have the fastest times ever i challenge you to race me tonight in your car of choice?

Doesn't prove a thing mate, never said I had fast cars online, just SSRX. What don't you understand. So far I do have, until someone shows and proves otherwise, I'm pretty content with the situation. Anymore question/interest, PM me.

Then why are you tuning for the leaderboards. It's a reference. No one gives a rats ass what your cars run if you don't run them online.

that is true.

Its like having a bugattii and taking it only to residential areas at 30mph

^^Couldn't have said it better myself.

Not all of us want to be vettel on the roads mate. Nor GT5.

Probably the same reason people care about their Time Trial challenge times. Or their license times. Or their GT Academy times. Stop speaking on behalf of everyone.

Yeah but that's different. With drag racing, you can at least run people online. I personally don't beleive it makes sense to tune only for something most people use as a reference for. But I see where your coming from. 👍

This made me laugh literally for about 2 minutes straight  that involves all of the rich people as well

By my experience i've seen that the faster the time is on the test the slower is online, yes the times can be use as a reference but i would never detune my cars to do such times not even to prove a point, to me top time cars aren't worth racing online, i learned that the hard way thus why i don't post anymore, its a waste of time. :D

I only get them fast enough to race them online (not that I do anymore anyways) and be competitive. I could care less about the leaderboards anymore.

With all sorts of racing in GT5, you can race online ;).
Some people just prefer time trialing, even with drag racing. I'll admit, in normal circuit racing, it's a less-broad skill-set than what's required in a race against opponents, since one would need to know how to pass and interact with others, but in drag racing, where you shouldn't be interacting with the other car in any real way, the only thing missing in offline versus online is the reaction time. No doubt important, I'd agree on that, but I wouldn't discredit the tuning that goes hand in hand with it.
Chalk it up to diff'rent strokes. I don't understand the obsessive nature of some of the marketplace regulars, but that's what they want to do with their GT5.

Besides, online and offline physics have finally been fixed. Or so I've heard...

True, true. I just think that because so many people use the leaderboards as a reference online as to what a car theoretically should run, I don't want it getting cluttered with invalid times because someone submitted them. I don't want new guys to become discouraged following traditional methods that we've posted in the guides here, and get further upset because such times are on the leaderboard, when guides say that using those tactics is heavily frowned upon. That's part of the reason why retro launching was banned, because it wasn't good for online use also. I see the latest incident to be something similar. If this ends up like retro launching, where it becomes popular and the boards get filled, who knows if someday a new leaderboard would be started and all these times from this latest occurence get wiped.

All I'm saying is if we banned one way of going against the norm then these new ways should be banned from it as well. Even though we have yet to prove it can be legit, as of now it's proving itself to be a new form of e-cheating.

Now, I do think if we end up using these times T51R has submitted, I think there should be some sort of indication that it was an offline tune only and that it is not applicable online. Agreed everyone?

Please link me to this thread you speak of mate. not my problem mate.
You don't even know what's invalid anymore mate.
I already proved it mate.
I'm from Portugal Hombre, I know all about latino culture. I asked a question since you seemed like a reputable person here, shame you had to get uptight about it sheesh.:dunce:
Portugal huh? I've never heard someone from Portugal say mate? Just sayin.. :D

With all due respect, time trialing isn't drag racing. By simply trialing you are cutting out A LOT of important factors in which a drag race is based......REACTION, FOCUS (being disciplined to shift correctly with your opponent next to you), LACK OF ROOM FOR ERROR(in a trial, you can just run again as if it never happened....even cheat without anyone there to notice, in a drag race if you lose, YOU LOST). The drag racing community understands this and accepts it. And the ones who don't surely don't assert themselves as "the best" because they know that no one is going for it until they get a live race.....that's just real....there have been PLENTY OF low time guys to come around with that "im the fastest" attitude only to be left in a cloud of ehxaust. That is what slash means and if he doesn't speak for all, he speaks for WELL over 90%

Dang double post again, it's late here sorry.

Guess i'm just to confused with all these groupies asking totally off-topic questions or rewording my words to suit their fantasies. Strange people I must say.

Correct, he's Hispanic, they don't like the M word :dunce:

Wow, get a life.

just like walking around calling african americans black people and americans white, although hispanics take more offence, especially if the're really puerto rican

edit: oops, way off topic, sorry, caught up in the moment.

Couldn't agree with you more, man. I couldn't agree with you more.

You guys have such big heads and such little brains. You think you are 90% of the community? I have more people on one PSN friendslist than your whole 90% of the community. Give me a break. More fantasies.
