Edit: Okay this isn't really going where I had imagined. Post a link to a rare sale or a rare car being sold. The kind of things that collectors wait years to pop up on the market, or that millionaires on exclusive dealership mailing lists get invited to take a look at before the car gets listed. A Lotus Elise GT1 racer just popped up for sale a while back and it was a big deal. Same thing with the following XJ220S. The owner had two of the five in existence, and when they went up for sale it was a happening.

I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet, so this may disappear because of repostness.

Pretty simple, we always want to dream of cars we will someday own, so this thread can be a collection of those dream cars that are for sale somewhere online.

Bonus points for rarer finds, eBay is cool too.

My dream car is a Mclaren SLR or Gullwing but after seeing so much of the F40 from GT5P I think I would want that instead....

Hmm maybe not quite what I was intending with this thread. You know how every now and then, something comes up that is way off the charts in cool factor or something that is very rarely for sale? That's what I wanted to see here. XJ220s in the US are very rare, as are Mclaren F1s for sale.

Posting your favorite car with a link that nobody will end up looking at is kind of dull. There are dozens of Exiges for sale and there are hundreds of Chevy pickup trucks for sale. I think I was unclear (I had changed the title several times before deciding on FS: your dream car).

Lotus Elise GT1 similar to this one for sale, I believe in California:

$342,000 for the car, 25 sets of wheels, 3 spare Corvette ZR1 engines (that it ran with) and, 'other goods'. Unfortunately, I cannot proivde a link, as it is from a magazine whose home page I don't know of.

EB110 Supersport edition. That must top a list of very rare cars to find on sale. I'd kill to have one of those. Too bad it must cost a boatload to maintain it (as I recall, back in the day, the oil change on it was like $5000 with the special Elf oil).

Surely 1 offs top the list like the Speed 12 would if it went up for sale again. I'm sure someone will post a one off car for sale soon enough and that will top the list ;).
