The 5 of the top 6 cars in my GT3 sim garage with the most miles on them are "road" normal cars;
- RUF RGT, 2734miles (all mods/parts) I recently played through as much or GT3 as i could (in all the races the car can be entered in, including rally and enduros, not the F1 race though) using ONLY this car in various states of tuning. The ONLY series I can't win with it is the pro league/GT All-stars, I've tried 3 times and each time the R390 beats me in total points, closests was 2 points, farthest was 8. The Lemans cars just take the corners faster. Usually waht I do is set the car up in qualifying to be withing .5 of the pole +/-, anymore or less I keep tuning until the car is tned/de-tuned to get that window. Most races the RGT can win with i around 660hp, all the rallys are easily winable with the car at is base HP.
-Nissan Skyline r34, 1391miles (all mods/parts) used much like the RGT but in the 4wd and JGTC series
-Lotus Elise 190, 1193miles (full mods/parts), used in aam/pro MR (just not enough grunt in the pro level), spider and elise series. Next to the RGT my favorite car to drive in GT3. This one gets alot of "free" driving too, driving it jsut to enjoy driving it, like the RGT.
- VW New Bettle, 341 miles (all mods/parts), my favorite FF car used to win all FF series and bettle cup.
lastly, technically this would be a road car though it is a race car in GT3
- TOmmy Kiara ZZII, 927miles (base , full set of race ties though). I use this as my "race car", like to win the Pro/GT all stars.
- Viper GTS, 2103miles (full mods/parts), used like the RGT and skyline for FR and American races...
I can't think of any race cars in GT3 that "move" me like the above cars. i find myself using them only when i am forced to, which isn't often....
