Fun things that keep you entertained with GT4.

When I'm bored, I get a normal FR, drift it on a track an see the laps increasing...1 2 3......21, 22 and realise I'm just wasting my time and being bored but then behind GT4.

I'm not a GT4Fan at all. I deny myself:(

racing every car in my garage -- thats fun.....get a great feel for every type of car after doing 2laps in every car, around the nurburgring!

I conduct comparison tests between cars and record performance figures. It was interesting to compare the difference in scale of performance between the fastest standard production road car I have so far tested (Ford GT), the fastest modified road car I have built (Vauxhall Speedster on R4s) and the Audi R8 and then an FGT, for instance. I take lots of pictures with all the comparisons I do.

The ability to take pictures has actually kept me away from Enthusia!

Learning how to drift on N tires is keeping me busy at the moment...
Also I like to set up arcade races with 6-10 laps speed limiter penalty, and look to get 150+ points per race.... the racing is getting boring...
Also The Weekly Race Series is fun...

One more for 2 players which is different to straight racing.

With two evenly matched cars you set the number of laps to 1 and stagger the cars quite far so one starts infront of the other. The objective is to finish the lap without being tagged from behind. Here is the twist: As soon as the race starts, instead of racing of ahead you have to turn around and race the wrong way round. The one chasing has to tap the others rear bumper before he gets to the line. If he does manage to tap, he then turns around and tries to get back to start before starting his own lap, aiming to finish it before he is tapped. It kind of works out like a tug of war. It can be fun but it isnt pretty! :)

So far, I´ve taken pics of all cars in my garage (733 cars), golded all licenses and completed the game. What to do? 💡 Test all cars!
I have no idea what it´s for, but I´m making a timecomparison .xls sheet of all cars, tested on six different tracks (Nürburgring, LeMans, Fuji '05, Suzuka, Monaco and Midfield) over two laps, where the second lap counts. All laps are "safe" laps - ie no runoffs or spins, and mostly run on N tyres (s1 for the true supercars, and r1 for any racecar). Heaps of joy!!
Very timeconsuming though  Been at it for a couple of months, and are just about to start with Chrysler

I like to look for cars that me and my friends have in real life (most of which have 88-91 Civic Hatchbacks which arent in the game) and fixing them up like theirs. Trying to get my IA license and getting all pissed off because i cant lol.
B-Spec Endurance races for money.
Get out my Blue EG like mine and act like im racing AutoX lol.

well what has been keeping me intertained for the last 4 hours was i have been at the car lots spending my 10 mill credits and haveing lots of fun doing it. so far i have found lots of rare cars (MULTIPULE TIMES) so like yeah baught over a 100 cars since then and got more money to spend!

I have had enough of GT4 but as I am difficult person to buy xmas presents for I have been banned from buying any new games at the moment. My son liked Burnout3 and NFS-HP2 so can guess what two presents will be; BR & NFS-MW. Also it's a very busy time at work, so... I am restarting a game from scratch and will just trundle along doing licences, missions (both in order) and then maybe 200pt Aspec races with different cars 'til December 25th.

On restart I have 66 golds at day 80 I think, and though I am golding MUCH quicker the same licences are still tricky, eg B-5 and the slaloms. My least favourite of all, S-3 at SS5, is next.

Ahh , I can't exactly say what keeps me entertained in GT4 because I don't have it yet (Christmas , I'll have it :)) but in GT2 I would always drift in some corners , just to have some fun. and the guy who said he commentates his races , I'll vouch for you , I do that to :) It can certainly pass the hours on a Vitz Trophy race.

iv split cars into diferent catagories, such as European (road cars), JGTC, American, LM, etc. then iv assigned diferent tracks to diferent catagories (European- The Ring) (JGTC- Special Stage route II) (American-Seattle) etc, so il see whats the fastest catagory of car, by tuning them and stuff.

keeps me occupied :)

I like to buy things, I have a lot of money so I go find a car that looks pretty, buy it, and then buy all the parts I can for it. I have a lot of fast cars :)

That sounds class. I'll try that. It may mean the premature ejection (ahem...) of Burnout 4 though.

A couple I do on 2P; one player drives a Fiat 500 or some other slow dreary thing, and the other hops in a Minolta or some such. Start a 3 lap race, once it starts the Minolta driver has to complete 2 laps to the 1 lap of the 500. It takes a while to get a decent match, you'll have to check out laptimes. You can also do it by starting a 1 lap race and having the Minolta turn around and drive a reverse lap before starting, but that means some sitting about for a bit. By the last couple of corners it gets tense, like the hunter and the hunted.

When I'm really bored I race my mates on any track, any car, but every corner (ignore slight curves) must be taken in the wrong direction, so if you're doing seattle normal then the first hairpin right must be approached by flying in locked up, handbrake on, turning left. So a 90 degree right hander must be negotiated by turning 270 degrees left.

This works best when moderately drunk. I find that 3 guinnesses and a large grey goose on ice is the ideal amount for perfect GT driving. Conversely, I need to get absolutely battered to be any good at Tekken.

Kurtis.

Drift, then buy more cars to drift with, and somewhere in between there, look for Big Foot on El Capitan. Though no one has seen him, and its never been said that he's there, somewhere in my heart, I know that he's there. Its like I can feel his lil human like ape eyes watching me, and judging me on every drift I make on that track. ARGH! I hate big foot!

 I assume you assume big foot is there due to the fact that there is a seamonster on Trail mountin?
Thats something to do too. Look for "easter eggs".

Well now i have 100%, my time is spent mostly with my arms flying about like im having a fit trying to get my month old DFP to see eye to eye with me!! Damm thing doesnt realise that i know best.... 🤬 ....

......on a lighter and more calming note i try and gold the licences, running the drift competitions on here (see sig for links, he he nice plug huh :sly: ) and attemp to drift cars but this often leads to more arms flying about and we all know what that leads too :ouch:

Leonidae
Amen! :dopey: Nurb is the drivers Nirvana  !

That's very true. After my gamesave got corrupted at 70% or so,I have mostly been driving the ring. My current game is at only 37%, but I have driven more than 10000 A-Spec kilometers on the ring alone. :)

What keeps me in the game... OLR!

If I get really bored, I will go into a race, make it very realistic, then commentate the race as I'm driving. It may sound weird, but hey, it's entertaining.
Similarly, when my friend is racing, I watch the whole time and act as co-driver. I make suggestions about cornering techniques and keep him updated about the other cars' positions.

I race the family cup on the Nurburgring and El Capitan with difficulty set on between 6-8 with stock old cars, usually racing against mid 90s cars.
Two awesome ideas!
