Turn down the volume if you have headphones. bump-firing, I think.

The thing about black people and fried chicken/watermelon goes wayyyy back beyond the existence of KFC. I mean back to the early 1900s. The stereotypical "darkie" family was often portrayed as being crazy for fried chicken and watermelon. And I mean in the type of cartoons where they are shown as jet black and have huge red lips and giant white eyes.

Most of you folks are way too young to understand just how brutal and patronizing this stuff really was. It's not about whether KFC commercials show a father or not - the pattern runs way deeper, way meaner, and way older than that.

I don't think anybody wants to keep that going.

I also didnt understnd the KFC thing but thanks duke for clearing it up..

I just thought the pic was chosen for his facial experssions rather than the meaning behind the black..ah well.

I didnt know about all that history stuff, I thought the chicken and watermelon thing was because black people love fried chicken, Black comedians go on about fried chicken all the time so I didnt think it would be racist or anything...
At first I didnt know why you or Pupik were complaining about it but I kinda see now.

It's the only way he can defend himself. Otherwise he may simply fall over if he upset his balance with throw of an arm.

EDIT: OMFG, a whole page late. Wow.

No kidding. :indiff:

Here is an example of what Duke is referring to:

Except that was serious, and this is a joke. I agree that GTPlanet is probably not the place to put a racist joke. But I don't think anyone is serious about this stuff.

Yeah, true. I just personally wouldn't go against the grain though because I don't want to be banned.

That is a very ace clock. Although most of my mates probably wouldn't understand it.

Next time someone asks me the time I am going to reply: 'the factorial of the square root of 9, minus brackets 9 divided my nine brackets pm'.

Acctually on second thoughts '5pm' will suffice.

And get punched in the face repeatedly too, probably.

I'm not so much inflamed, as much as I felt that jokes that were literally older than the Internet are still going around.

Nobody ignores that, yet if a pic seen a year ago pops up, someone butts in and says "Soooo...last year" or "That's a repost" or "Dood! Saw that years ago!"

Case closed.

Maybe I have a problem.

Anyone catch it?

There are two screws on the top but none on the bottom.
The P on the first line is not aligned with the rest of the line.
There should be some sort of punctuation after "wrong"

Nope, don't get it.

Apparently Fuzzy Zoeller's sponsors seemed to be pretty 'serious' when it came to these matters:

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuzzy_Zoeller

But at the 1997 Masters tournament, Zoeller made a controversial remark regarding Tiger Woods. After finishing tied for 34th place with a score of 78, Zoeller, referring to the following year's Master's Club Champion's Dinner, for which the defending champion selects the menu, said, "That little boy is driving well and he's putting well. He's doing everything it takes to win. So, you know what you guys do when he gets in here? You pat him on the back and say congratulations and enjoy it and tell him not to serve fried chicken next year. Got it." Zoeller then smiled, snapped his fingers, and walked away before turning and added, "or collard greens or whatever the hell they serve."[2] K-Mart and Dunlop ceased sponsoring Zoeller after the incident.[3][4]

This little 'joke' certainly put a big hole in Fuzzy's pocket.

It's from the website of a local radio station. (99 ROCK) Murph and Leslie are part of the morning crew. (The Morning Movement) Leslie is a real moron sometimes. That's why she is awesome!

EDIT: Stare at it long enough and it gets funny.
