I would tie it to the spoiler and backseat headrest. Though it's another reason why I'd just order the TV online.

Just proves that money won't buy you brains. If you can afford that car and that tv, it seems like you could afford to just have it delivered since you don't own a truck...

Reminds me of the time a couple came to the Lexus Dealer for a problem with the power convertible hardtop. "It won't close...it's stuck open." they said. We whisk the car into the garage area, as it is just starting to rain. We play with the manual release lever a few times, and press the power top switch a few times.

I'm at the driver's side rear of the SC 430, holding my clipboard with the customer and car information. The trunk lid lifts slightly on one corner, and everything jams again. I peek into the little gap...and call out: "I think I found the problem..."

"...they went to Costco."

Moral of the story is that you may save $5 buying 16 rolls of paper towels, but you lose $1000 if you forget it doesn't fit in your car properly.

(Yes, a true story.)

Or desperate..I fit kids bike into a Miata before. Luckily,it had its top down.
 
my friend scoffs at practicality and owns an SLK. He had to have his rear bumper repaired and repainted at the dealer ship but decided we would uninstall and reinstall it ourselves to save money and allow him to use the car in the meantime. Guess how he got the bumper to and from the dealer 💡 passenger seat with the top down, he looked like tony stark carrying the huge diorama in his R8 spyder.


(sorry I know this isn't the "share your funny convertible stories" thread)
 
The SLK has a trunk. My MR-S does not. And the things I've moved with it :lol:
