Why does the comedy corner always have a yellow folder icon to indicate new posts, despite the fact I've just been there and read the latest posts? When I click again it just takes me to the thread list, of which none of the titles are bold.

Yes it is.

They have a 360° view in a canopy that is also fitted with four mirrors, one for the RIO and the others for the pilot.

That's all I could find, but theres a lot of pictures around.

If I had to guess, I'd say the fighter pic is from Hot Shots, especially given the rearview mirror.

Why is the rear view mirror such a big thing with everybody and funny? The F-14 did have a rear view mirror. I'm sure it came in handy in a dog fight.

See a mirror for the RIO.

And 3 mirrors for the pilot.

^^^^ What he said. Lots of fighters have mirrors. I've seen them on F-4s, F-15s, even an external one mounted above the canopy on an early P-51.
