It came to this because several people, and some more than others (white and nerdy, ivoyared) wouldn't stop complaining and then decided it would be funny to post pictures of tables. No captions, no clever thoughts, just "Google 'table,' post results. Oh, and I guess I'll put 6 year old meme images in these posts too."

It's hardly as though you're speaking from an unbiased position. The thread may not have been in especially good shape when Tony kept refusing to take the hint on posting tons of memes, but threads like this always have to deal with bouts of people doing that, and they usually recover. The ponies are something extraordinary, and once they took hold, there was no stopping them. It really should have been obvious to you that they were going to be extremely polarizing and cause lots of arguments among posters, regardless of whether or not you consider that behavior "mature." It doesn't help that you're a well-known and (I guess) respected member, and people will therefore be vastly more likely to pay attention to a post about ponies than they would if the poster were some no-name with fifty posts.
 
Tables and ponies? Really? Not what I had in mind when I started the original thread 7 years ago :boggled: There's probably some reposts here, as I never visit this thread anymore, but reposts > tables...

Feel free to report such behaviour to admin.

My finding: After being asked by members to back off posting in this thread for a while (and having had several pictures removed from several posts for complete disregard for the AUP), you received a 5 day ban for an wholly inappropriate (and similarly AUP-unfriendly) response. Wasn't surprised to see this BS response from you - or that you're still posting images which are close enough to the boundary that, if we were actually looking for an excuse to permanently ban you, we would.
