In theory they will eat anything cause their stupid, but their primary diet (in the wild at least) is grass, roots, and low hanging vegetables.

Pig eats veg, pig gets hit on the head, pig gets ground up, bacon, profit.
 
Ground up pig is sausage, not bacon.

Bacon is 60% OK meat, 20% Disgusting fat and 20% a mixture of both with too much fat to make it worth eating.
