My old landlord (87 years old) here in Japan was the son of a dentist. For a bit of pocket money, I used to teach him English. One lesson we were studying about health and ailments etc. and I asked him what is the best thing to do if you have a toothache. I nearly died when he said 'cocaine'. Apparently it used to be available as a prescription painkiller. Now I know why they call them the 'good ol' days'.

You could buy them that way, and by the time they stopped making PS1/PSone you could no longer buy standard controllers, only dual shock. (at least here in the states)

If you bought the early ps1 you don't have analog...but if you bought the late model (psone)slim ,you have analog on your controller.The 1994 to 1998 controller w/o analog (Playstation controller) 1997-1998 (Dual analog controller) 1997-2004 (Dualshock).👍

I have the analog controller that you could buy for the original Playstation before the psone and dualshock came out. It didn't have vibration and the tops of the the sticks werent coated in rubber, plus they curved in instead of out.
