So I was looking at the "what have you done to your car today?" thread and had an epiphany so to speak, what plans do you have for your vehicle(s) in the future, whether it be in a few days, months, or even years? Oh yah, state what vehicle(s) will be worked on so as to not confuse people who have no idea what you own :dopey:!

Anywho I suppose I'll start... I have an '89 Jeep Wrangler, and this summer I plan on purchasing and building up a new 4.2L I6 engine complete with Howell TBI and GM HEI distributor. Kind of sick of carbureted winters...:yuck:

Hmm. I had a dream of making my own GTI W12 with my car by buying a W12, mounting it in the rear and switching to RWD and doing stuff with the body work. I've since decided that this would be a bad idea and I think I would rather concentrate my efforts of keeping the thing running for that long.

Current plans? Probably nothing more than a chip or an intake, if anything. I really like my car stock, and I think it would lose a chunk of it's soul the second I started slapping stuff under the hood.

I'm looking to get a 350 TBI dropped in my Camaro in a couple of months. After that I'm saving up to do some of the bodywork and paint. Then wheels and interior. And finally once all that is complete take off the TBI and put an EFI system on and add either twin turbos or twin superchargers.

This could all change depending on the motor I can get my hands on or have put in my Camaro for me. As long as the MR2 sits in the garage the less space I have to work with. I am going to have to pay someone to do the engine for me. By the time I have the money together for the bodywork and paint the MR2 should be at least out of the garage.

Well lets see my goals are as follows
Full suspension (coilovers, tension rods,tie rods,uca,ruca,sway bars,nismo power brace)
2 way limited slip diff
full cage
sr20det putting out 375HP to the wheels (fullrace turbo many,GT2871R,FMIC,Tomie cams,fully built head,CP pistons w/9:1 compression ratio,water-meth injection)
A rare JDM exhaust ;)
Full areo (Version II, 50mm over fenders/full wide body)
Some kind of 18x11 or 18x12 with +4 or +6 offset in the front and -4 or -6 offset in the rear.
Sparco Evo seat
Sparco steering wheel(something with a 90mm dish)
NRG quick disconnect hub

I think that it will take 2 years to get where I will be happy with it.

@JCE: What year Camaro is it?

@Diablomonkey: Sounds like a plan! What kind of car is it?

@kikie: Ouch that hurts, what happened?

It all, currently, depends on what I end up buying. You've got to nerd it up a bit with a few tech stickers, and I'll likely end up buying an optional set of wheels for summer or winter driving. But other than that, because I will likely be leasing (still not sure), I can't do much.

When I have the time and money, I'd like to tweak my Tacoma some:

-Locking front/rear differential (at least the rear)
-Heavy duty bumper/bullbar w/ auxillary lights
-rollbar/lights and bed-mounted spare tire
-complete Rhino liner paint job
-cold air intake
-rock sliders

@JCE: Oh yah, the single seater Camaro! Are you planning on anything for the backseat area?

@Kikie: Hah that sucks, you going to do it yourself or have a bodyshop fix it?

I pretty much covered it all the memeber's car directory, but performance wise:
My 1994 Holden VR Commodore Ute S pack
Lowered with Monroe shocks and King Springs
Power Chip
Lukey Headers, Exhaust, Cat, and Muffler. (all performance obviously)
Take it from there afterwards, I'm trying not to look too far into the future with my Ute at the moment.

For one pay the car off, but after that I would like to get a nice set of rims and tires for the summer as well as a set of winter tires. Other then that I don't think I really want to do much with the Cooper other then drive it.

A nice dream plan of mine is the following.

'05 V6 Mustang body with grille lamps. Drop in the Boss 302 crate motor, route dual exhaust out the back. Either in Dark Candy Apple Green metallic paint with dual black racing stripes down the middle, or in Red with the stripes. Top it off with black Torque-Thrust American Racing Wheels painted black, but leaving the outside rim on the wheel in chrome. Dropped about 1.5 inches. I dig the slightly dropped stance, it looks MEAN

Stang-->19,000.
Motor-->4,000?
Red w/ Stripes--> 2,000
Wheels--> 2,000?
Suspension adjustment--> 500 to 1,000

27,500-28,000 by my estimation. Ouch.

@JCE: Oh yah, the single seater Camaro! Are you planning on anything for the backseat area?

You like my 1+0 seating? :D I'm planning on fabbing up some storage space + some speaker spots where the back seats used to be. :sly: Painting your car will cost more than $2,000 if done correctly.

Painting my truck only cost me about 20 bucks....course it was with rattle-cans...though it does look good from a distance!

This is a small list, nowhere near complete.

B16 swap
big brake kit w/ rear disk conversion
PIC Coilovers
Swaybars
Momo steering wheel
Cobra Imola S seat
Sabelt harnesses
Autopower roll bar
Tanabe Exhaust
An-R headers (probably not gonna happen)
Lots of reinforcement, its a hatchback afterall
ITB's
High compression pistons
And a buttload of other stuff I'm too lazy to list.

You have a car? Didn't think you would for your age.

PS- What's a Vega?

An old, weak GM econobox. One step above Chevette.

It was free. Can't say no to free.

Especially considering that it runs now, and the only costs were a new accessory drive belt and a slug of gas. Turned out the fuel pump's connections were dead.

And actually, they go for pretty decent prices fully restored; that's not the plan though.

Buick 3800 V6 + 700-4R with transbrake, Ford 9" rear axle (if we get the one that my dad found for a hundred bucks, 35 spline axles and a Detroit Locker)... Caged. Open up the front and rear fenderwells to clear some 255/55 R15's up front and 295/50/R15s out back...

Angry little car. From a sad little car.

Future plans for the Talon, if I keep it long enough...

-RM Racing rear anti-roll bar (To replace stocker)
-Coilovers or a set of KYB AGX's wrapped in Eibach Pro-Kit springs
-Volk CE28N (17x8, +33 offset) wheels wrapped in Kumho Ecsta MX's. Or any 17x8 wheels, really.
-Mechanical boost guage
-Manual boost controller
-Turbo timer
-Intake
-2.5" S-S turbo back exhaust
-Ported 2G exhaust manifold
-High-flow in-tank fuel pump

At that point, I should be pushing around 300 horsepower, and with the sticky tires and suspension, should be ready to tackle autocross and keep me entertained.

Also on the list is to restuff and possibly recover the drivers seat (It's not perfect anymore, but still quite serviceable), and possibly have some paintwork done. Even just touch-up on the hood, which I'll eventually just do myself.

the next thing i plan on doing is buying a car:). i still have another 6 months to go before i can even start looking. i was planning on something simple like a golf, or an old Jeep. but that only happens if my brother doesn't get to take his car to college. his car is a 1997 Chrysler Sebring LXi. if he doesn't take it and it becomes mine i only plan on buying a K&N air filter for it, it has a lot of miles on it so any big power modifications would probably blow the motor.

Hmm lets see...
-Get a full Racing Beat Road Race Exhaust system
-Full Tein suspension with EDFC
-Find a a good 2 way lsd
-Get a Turbo II hood.
-Get a nice set of oldschool 16-17 inch rims, preferably some black SSR super mesh's or Enkei Mesh's.
-Completely respray the tired paint job back to showroom condition.
-Eventually getting a 20b 3 rotor under the hood (someday......)
-Still deciding on leaving the body stock or get the GP Sports bodykit for the 7....
-Lot's more that I can't remember at the moment.....
