I wasn't making an attempt at Aussie slang. I was speaking as if I were from 1950s America. MNP was speaking down to someone by calling them champ. So I decided to speak down to him like the child he is by using champ, tiger, slugger, etc. Then I decided to take to joke further by using campy dialogue such as dandy and dapper which was language apparent in America before the 1970s... according to Hollywood. Hahaha. Sorry if you Aussie's got confused.
