For those of you with the G25 wheel and the Prologue i have a question. Does the clutch actually work? Like do you need to use the clutch to get out of first in a MT car. Thank you.

Tyler

The clutch does not work in Prologue.

The H shifter does work in Prologue

The clutch works in Prologue but not the Prologue "demo".

Press the very top black circle button on the shifting module (which is the triangle button on the joypad) to active on each race. The way to tell if the clutch is activated is when your stick is in the neutral position, it will be registered as "N" in the game, rather than the last gear you were in.

From a standing start, first gear needs to be launched using the clutch, as in a real car, right?

My girlfriend bought me a G25 for our anniversary + valentines day. It arrived this afternoon. Yippee!!! I always drive without driving aids, manual trans (now 6spd stick), and I must say the G25 is awsome.

My previous setup was the Driving Force (wheel/pedals) that I've been using since GT3. In the real world I drive a 2006 Nissan Xterra OFF ROAD w/6spd manual trans.

But now I have a new learing curve to go thru with the G25 because when I drive a stick, I'm not used to seeing my current gear appear on screen and it is confusing me. My new lap times are about 3.5 seconds slower, and I'm all over the road as I brake-shift-turn.

Previously, using the DF paddle shifters, and viewing the current gear displayed on screen made since, but now like in the real world I prefer feeling the position of the shifter, using memory, or guaging speed & engine revs to know what gear I am in (or gear I want).

The biggest difference between the new and old GT5P setup for me is break pedal feel. The break pedal on the G25 is much-much stiffer. I know I'll get used to it. And have fun trying.

Oh well, its back to basics, and doing the GT5P events all over again.

Yours arrived today, mine got rapped today.

It stopped working last week and today I called Logitech's technical support and after some questions they told me to destroy the wheel and wanted a picture of the wheel detroyed with my personal data written on a papper to prove it was mine :yuck:

I had fun smashing it thought :dopey:

In about 2 weeks time I hope I get my new G25 :)

Haha, I saw your pic while I was reading another post, and all I could think about was "What kind of idiot chopped up their G25?" Then I read it. Interesting story!

My new wheel just arrived from Logitech, It feels kinda different from my first wheel thought.

First of all, the nasty click of the H shifter is gone, maybe is a re-design of the shifter or maybe it will reappear, I hope it doesn't  And the FFB actually feels a bit stronger, but then again, it might become weaker due to hardcore abuse :)

Hey, don't look at me, I just did what they told me to do.

They mass produce this things, and I think is cheaper for them just to send a new one than pick up the broken wheel, repair it and then send it again. More cost effective if you ask me.

I didn't know you could browse GTP using the G25...

that's what the thread title says!

I may sound highly noob-ish here (i am new to gtp forums), but I had no idea you could use the clutch for Gran Turismo, Im SOOOO gettin a G25 now!!! Hello clutch kicks!!!

A quick question for someone with a g25, playing GT4 in an under powered car such as an AE86 for example, having a use-able clutch must be an absolute hoot for abit of drift action???
