title says it all.. it's broken just like that..

so now, I've got to get a new wheel.. I'm lining up for a G27, but it is about $500 new where I live.. the quietness and quality is impressive and I can get it, but I've just found a good second hand G25 for about $140.. and I really wonder if G27 is +$360 good.. I've also read that fanatec's are good, but it seems it's not sold in my country..

any suggestions are welcome..

I have a fanatec wheel, It really is great , But I hear the same about G27's. I'm sure theres plenty of members here can tell you more.

Lol at the video, I'm pretty sure I realized where it broke after the first three wiggles... hard to believe it broke at both points at once, where you leaning on it excessively or pulling back on it?

thank you for your time guys..

it fell off to the ground from about 30 inches - 80 cm..

I'm negotiating for a g27 right now, I'll try to get it under $350..

I'll try the advice in first post.. gracias..

If you pick up the other G25 you shoud have plenty of spare parts to keep it running for a while. I think id go that route. Maybe even years. 👍

No, no rumours, Logitech is probably scratching their head as to how they'll counter Thrustmaster T500 in build quality and maintaining a lower price point.
Since the G27 is selling well, it's not going to be replaced anytime soon.

Just buy that chilicoke adaptor and a cheap wheel from eBay. I have a deep dish wheel and I absolutely love it. I certainly wouldn't dish out that much cash for another wheel, it's a simple fix.

Or, I'll sell you my stock wheel ;)

contact logitech customer support to see what they can offer.

they are second to none, you may even get a replacement for free (not uncommon for mouse, keyboards etc.. not sure about wheels), or a deal on a new wheel. worth a try

otherwise there are plenty of mods out there so you can put a real wheel (like Sparco, Momo etc...) a little DIY but you may actually like it more than your broken one. maybe it's a sign/opportunity to start modding?

that's the plan right now but, international shipping will be a problem and I'm not entirely sure that I can find a steering wheel that suits my needs.. it will be the cheapest and most logical way to fix it nevertheless..

hasido; thank you for the links.. I'm not looking to give it away right now..

lunarwolf; logitech customer care is an option as well.. I'll see what I can do and let you all know about it..

update;

i've bought bison metal epoxy kit.. been like 2 hours and i'm really curious yet frightened to touch it.. i'll give it another two hours and then try..

as a last resort, i'm gonna buy g27 tonight

Change the rim if the wheel still works ok...

You can try this >>> http://simracnwheels.com/ or this might be cheaper >>>http://chilicoke.com/mods/replacewheel.htm

I am interested in this, I have considered changing the wheel on my G27 to one of the Momo style wheels using the adapter but the thing that has stopped me is that I am not sure what would happen with the buttons that are on the G27 wheel as there are games that need the buttons. This may have been discussed but I didn’t find anything, can anyone comment on this or point me to a thread where this is discussed??

G27 buttons....you can unscrew the two - 3 red button units from the stock wheel and just attach them your new wheel with velcro or even screw it on if you can. I velcroed mine to the paddle shifters.

Plug & Play...

I just got the DSD mini plate and the wheel adapter for G27. Cheaper than Chilicoke, always in stock, free shipping, and works with 70/74mm PCD. Chili's are only 70mm...
