does anyone else suffer from this?

its like the central 20 degrees or something has no feedback at all, and no return to centre its awful :(

i played gt5P hours before and didnt notice it.

I believe Logitech wheels have always had a reputation for having a small deadzone in the middle with little to no force feedback, so maybe I've just gotten so used to it that I haven't really noticed any problems in this game. And it does seem like I definitely would have noticed if it didn't center properly.

In fact in my opinion GT5 has the best FFB I've experienced in a console game, although it's no match for iRacing and some other PC sims.

I have this problem as well with my G25, I suspect it's for all wheels however and it's caused by GT5, not the wheel itself as I've used mine in iRacing and had drastically better feedback, the wheel basically always has some resistance/information coming through it. Was hoping this would improve in GT5 but that dead zone is still there to some effect and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. I'm not entirely thrilled with the feeling of counter steering either, the wheel still feels too eager get back to center.

The wheel tightens up quite a bit in the kart for example, don't notice it as much there. It may have something to do with production cars but I still think there could be room for improvement.

I don't think increased FFB settings helps either, but have to tone mine back down to 4 or 5 so as not to rattle my wheelstand too much. I'm using Professional with the option to reduce resistance in sudden turns (can't remember the name) turned off.

Alas it's better than Prologue for sure, but a little disappointing. If anyone has advice for how to remedy I'd love to hear it too.

I have a G27 and it's especially annoying when you're going at high-speed on a long straightaway. The force feedback oscillates the wheel left and right if you don't keep it perfectly centered, so I have to hold it in a death grip if I don't want to swerve all over the place.

I've noticed that on my g25, and it does it on any car at high speed, and also agree about the centre, it feels very very loose in the middle

I´ve noticed this in other games as well... probably something to do with the wheel. Not an game configuration...as pointed already by others.

I only notice it when I am not in a race. Also there is defiantly a loss of feedback and centering if you connect the wheel after the ps3 is on.

It feels the same on the Driving force Pro too and I know it's not the wheel because in F1-2010 there is some resistance on the very tiniest movement off centre. Although f1-2010 is a bit pants, I do really like the 'wheel weight' setting they provided so you could control the amount of resistance in the wheel across the entire turning range regardless of the FFB settings. At full weight it really feels like you can feel the weight of the car and gives you a bit of an upper arm work out too :)

tl;dr I don't think it is your wheel specifically.
