G27 and Need for Speed

Hey guys, I wanna buy Hot Pursuit will that work with the G27? I know Shift works and the Dirt games too. What other Need for Speed games work? I'm gonna go buy one today. I figured my $400 investment should be used for more than just GT5. Thanks!

By the way tried iRacing.com; although the G27 works good with it I didn't really enjoy the game. I don't like how u have to keep spending money to play and the graphics are allright.

As far as I know, NFSHP doesn't have any kind of wheel support.

All the other NFS games supported the G27, and Burnout Paradise (same developer) supported the wheel at least, so I don't see why it wouldn't... but it's not listed on Logitech's supported list, so who knows?

I have the PC version and while you can use a wheel you can tell the game is design for the controller. Burnout is another game that you can use a wheel but it feels like just a "controller substitute" than any real wheel support. For example there is a huge dead zone in the center of the wheel which is needed with a analog stick but not a wheel.

Both are great games and both work with the G27... I have both and enjoy them quite a bit.

Note that Dirt 2 especially will shake the crap out of your wheel but it's worked for me all the same...

Sorry, that isn't correct. I have that game "Hot Pursuit" and it works with my G27 no problem at all.

The game isn't really all that great though, and playing GT5 really shows up the arcade-style handling. Do I need to handbrake / drift ever corner with the arrow signs?. arcade tosh, but not without some merit. Chasing crooks as a cop is fun, and brings back old memories of CHASE HQ in the arcade.

I have it too, and never tried it with my DFP because of this... Will definitely try this weekend.

I do recall some posts saying that there was no support, that's why I said it.
