G27 does the clutch work?

Hello

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the clutch on the G27 racing wheel works can you stall a car? does the H gear box work?

It does work, you have to set it pre race. To do this you have to hold down the clutch prior to the race starting off.

I dont have to do that
But sadly its not fully functional it works fine but its an on/off functioning clutch sadly

and in cars which have no manual gear box in real life (like the Nissan GT-R) the clutch has no effect.....tbh that was the only car I tried last and I haven't played that game for a while, so maybe you go figure it out yourself.



FYI:

GT5 is the only racing game I stumbled across which actually allows misshifts (trying to shift without pressing the clutch result the gear stay in Neutral)


even hardcore sims like Race 07 or GT-R Evo don't give a crap if you press the clutch or not....but you can also stall the cars there.

With prologue you had to, don't think you have to do this on gt5 though. Might be wrong though. I've never used the clutch, I just use the paddles.

I just hit the clutch on the first gear change, and it works for me.

Not necessary to hold down clutch at start. I just match the gear on the screen during rolling start. Releasing clutch before gear is fully engaged result in neutral gear. No engine stalling just free wheeling Timing is important. There is a thread on g27. if u use h shifter with clutch, u can still switch over to paddle shift. impt if u have car with more than 6 gears. u can also use the h shifter without clutch. To reset, use the paddle shift. In short, paddle shift works all the time while h shifter n clutch works only if u consistently use both. Btw paddle shifter has no reverse gear directly so h shifter or triangle button is used. Some cars are only automatic like in real life so manual option is out eg. Honda fit. Some cars are without clutch in real life and clutch may not work eg GT-R Some Inconsistency as some paddle shift cars can still use clutch eg. Ofc-1 concept.
Speaking from experience as I am learning manual gear yesterday with clutch and shifter then paddle shift with a few cars.

The clutch works fine, and it's not just an "on or off" clutch, you can for sure drag the clutch if it pleases you.
