What is a realistic FFB for most street, semi-race cars (italia, f430 Scud, etc, FFB for G27. Something real, not fighting the FFB but not turning it with ur 🤬 (Lets go with toungh)

I just tried 3 and it feels still too hard

I have my FFB at 10 and it feels way too light. Is my wheel defective if it's this light?

Not really, everyone has different strength levels, and it also depends how much you use it, and the periods of time you use it for, if you use if for an hour it will be weaker than at he start.

It uses power supply not a battery.

No what he meant was that the motors overheat and get weaker. A lot of folks who set the FFB high notice this.

It seems like a plausible theory and now that you mention it maybe there is a slight drop off when it gets warm.

I play for about an hour at at time and the FFB was set to 10 when I first opened my wheel it was very powerful at first I didn't know how to drive with it. But once I got used to it, it felt not that it's weak but more controllable. So I'm assuming I'm used to the high FFB levels. I never set it lower, if I can increase it to 20 I would.

i think 1 is even to high to get a realistic power steering feel.
i can drive with my pinky finger or chin in real life
in gt5 its hard to drive properly with 1 hand

👍
Chev Spark has really light steering. Same as focus, civic etc.
And 1 is really strong for thos. Even while driving thos ingame :dopey::dunce:

all im really hoping for right now is the PD fix the deadzone in logitech wheels and the gear chatter
i hate it that i cant drive my f10 with my G27 without it shaking left to right violently or vibrating like hell cause of the gear chatter

Deseves 3 👍

I've read that you cannot adjust the FFB on the G27. There's a setting in the menu but it means nothing? I've played with the setting but I can't tell any difference. But I also just finally started using a wheel so I'm still getting used to it.

Something is wrong there, that's for sure. Seeing that with my (older and far less refined) G25 I've managed to do two 24h races with one hand on the wheel and drive the Ferrari F1 cars, as well as the Group C and LMP selection, without a problem - all with FFB on 6 - I'm definitely not buying the concept of there being a game breaking problem with the feedback.

The steering in a real car will load up with increasing g forces, try turning the wheel with your chin when you're at the cornering limit.:sly:

G27 is not really supported by gt5. At all. You cant set anything. Weird they dident include the best wheel currently available to buy in the best (cheap) simulator you can buy

That's a combination of both: the motor on the G25 probably losing power and the fact that your muscle has gotten used to the effort of dealing with the FFB.

Apart from that: make sure the USB connection is good and tight. And if you find the FFB feels strangely different, you might want to disconnect/recalibrate the wheel.

The experience I've had regarding this is that while there's still FFB, it can feel somewhat weaker in some areas, for example, the front tire grip around a corner. When it's properly working you should feel a certain amount of resistance or rubbery feel- pneumatic trail- which gives a better impression of the front tires' inherent propensity to self-align.

The best thing is to always make a mental note of how things feel. If it feels slightly off the next time you play the game, you might want to recalibrate the wheel.

None of Logitech "G" wheels are fully supported. But it doesn't mean you can't play GT5 with the wheel. With the G27, all the functions including the rev-counter, clutch/H-gated shifting and (at least) two buttons on the wheel, do work without a hitch. Although I'm not a G27 user, I am of the other non-supported G25. Never had an issue with both GT5P and GT5.

The G27 is not even close to being "the best wheel currently available". Most people would place the T500RS, Frex Type "G" or Fanatec GT2 or GT3 above the G27. It's mostly down to the strength and the execution of the FFB. Don't get me wrong although I love my Logitech G25 and probably won't turn down the offer if I was given a free G27, but ever since the introduction of the T500RS, the development of FFB wheels is going through the roof. The G27 is no longer de rigueur FFB wheel. Logitech needs to invest in some R&D or it'll be left in the dust.

True. But I know my wheel is powerful enough, pretty enough and good rnought to not invest in a new one.
Does ffb level ingame actualy change the FFB?

If I'm reading your question correctly, the answer should be an obvious "yes". If you increase the level of FFB (1-10), you should feel a weaker/stronger FFB.

What you also need to be aware of is that in a good driving/racing sim, the FFB should even feel different with each vehicle. In GT5, for example, steering weight/resistance when driving a Nissan R35 GTR should and do feel different than that of a Mazda Miata. Even changing tires should give you some difference in how the FFB feels- a grippier Race Soft tires should present the most resistance while cornering while Comfort Hard the least.

My G27 doesn't get too hot when I use it I just wish the FFB was more powerful such at going over curbs. When I drift I can feel the cars weight but counter-steer is difficult because I have a hard time feeling the back end catching grip and sometimes I get snap oversteer. But hey practice makes perfect. I love my wheel but I seriously wish it would work for the Xbox. What would be a good wheel that's under $200usd and is similar or better than the G27. I was interested in the fanatic GT2/GT3 but wasn't sure if they support my G27 peddles. Maybe I could save some money that way idk...
