In my opinion I think the DFGT has a stronger FFB but the G27 has better features. What do you think?

The G27 is better in all areas.. But it should be concidering it's price compared to the DFGT..

But the DFGT is extremely good for the money imo.

If you have the money for a G27, get a G27. If you can save up for a G27, save up and get a G27. If you just want a steering wheel at this time and you don't have the money for a G27, get a DFGT.

Get a DF GT only if you have limited budget and are *really* gentle with it, it's not the most durable wheel. I had a G25 also, but it had a lot of problems... hope the G27 is better. My 2nd DF GT is on its way out already, so I could have bought a G27 to begin with :)

The one thing I like about the DF GT is changing settings on the fly during a race (e.g. adjusting brake balance). Does the G27 have a way to do that? Surprised the G27 has lighter FFB though.

No problem with DFGT durability... i now have 280 000km in GT5 and played Dirt 3, F1 2010 ... and still works like a new one... I tryed the G27 and was not impress for the price difference... yes it has a clutch but most people who have it don't use it anyway.

Driving force regular price is 169$ in Canada and really often special for 129 and 99$.

I haven't actually tried DFGT, I'm a happy owner of G27, but the thing about G27 having light FFB than DFGT seems odd to me, since G27 has two FFB motors and DFGT just one.

The reason for me to buy DFGT was definitelly the H shifter and clutch, which is simply so much fun to drive with and feels more realistic for me (while driving cars with manual transmission).

A question for G27 owners: I was recently playing 1000km Suzuka and the wheelbase seemed very hot for me, I even once had the impression of smelling some light smell of overheat. I have FFB set to 10 (max). Should I be worried about it? I don't wanna risk any heat-caused damage to the wheel.

You can map any button on any of the 6 buttons on the steering wheel (G27), or any button on the shifter console, to the RA Menu. This will let you do all of the adjustments on the fly.

Back to the op, the force feedback is more precise on the G27 compared to the DFGT. It might be a tad bit weaker in resistance but with the 2 motors, you get more accurate feedback.

It really depends on your budget. If you've got some money to spend on G27, I'd say buy that. Otherwise, if you're like me, and your budget doesn't allow you to, you should choose the DFGT.

I recommend the G27 because I am the owner of one and it is a very good choice the wheel is wrapped in what I believe is leather and the wheel itself is made out of very nice stainless steel and the shifter is also very good

What do you play? If GT5, it's kind of hard to recommend the G27. The DFGT has all the buttons you need under your thumbs and is a very good wheel, and while the G27 on the other hand has a more comfortable leather wheel, better pedals, quieter, smoother and better force feedback, the addition of an H-shifter and clutch to GT5 aren't really that great. First of all, the H-shifter slows you down, and secondly the clutch isn't implemented that well; any gas applied during a downshift (i.e. a rev matched one) will put you in neutral when you bring the clutch out. Then getting back in gear is confusing and you waste a load of time.

So basically I personally feel like the H-shifter and clutch are a waste of time in GT5 and if I only played that I probably would have gotten a DFGT and a set of better pedals. (Source:I own a G27 and have spent a fair amount of time on a DFGT.)

I would say if you are debating between the two, the extra features of the g27 don't seem worthwhile to you. I'd go dfgt all the way.

I own both, DFGT best entry point wheel around, easiest to set up for occasional gaming, G27 best bang for buck, little more involved in set up, but better features and finish all round.

Like Neema said, all buttons on DFGT right under your thumbs (I miss this on my G27, and took some getting used to)

Comes down to permanent set up or pull down and pack up each time, I used DFGT until I got a cockpit and could invest in setting up G27 properly.

Just my opinion.

This doesn't mean DFGT FFB motor is stronger than G27 but DFGT FFB feels more like off/on while G27 have more variable range. With my G27 I can detect 50% FFB strength while DFGT drops sharply from 100% to hardly nothing back to 100% in the other direction.
Dfgt standard gears are not as smooth which requires a little more strength to pull against ffb.

This is basically the same what Bluntified wrote

P.S G27 pedals are a lot better than DFGT. You can even upgrade G27 pedals (brakes especially important) easier.
