EDIT*** Changed the title because it appears Logitech figured out the inventory glitch or got more stock in. It looks like they had problems for a week but are now back to normal. ***EDIT

The website has shown the G27 in stock all week and they will even tell you they have plenty when you call, but be warned...

I had a defective DFGT and Logitech told me the DFGT's were out of stock for awhile, but the G27's were in stock and I could place a phone order for it and they would subtract the DFGT price from it. I ordered, and since then my status went from in stock with over 1,000 units available to completely out of stock with massive backorders and no date available. I cannot use any web tracking because it was a phone order and customer service has been terrible.

I am now stuck with no wheel, no money, and bad customer service for who knows how long. And to think, I avoided Fanatec for these exact same reasons.

Just wanted to complain a little, but more importantly warn people not to get your hopes up if you see the G27 in stock, because they are obviously having some issues right now you will probably have to wait a while.

They show as in stock right now. I'm sure you'll get your wheel, don't get all righteous until you have a reason to. You ordered on Monday, things take a little time.

The G27 shows up as having over 1,000 units in the Logitech system, but it is a mistake and they have none. It shows up in stock on the website and if you call, but it is not. They ran out on the 24th and are aware of the inventory problem in their computer and are working to fix it.

Having an inventory problem is understandable and I mainly wanted to warn others of the issue. I normally don't complain like this and I did not give the details, but I was treated pretty bad until finding out about the inventory problem. It sounds like most people have great service with Logitech, but I guess with any big company it depends on who you deal with.

Not saying that you are being a pest or anything to that sort. But base on how upset you seem in this thread, it could be safe to say that you haven't been very understanding either. I'm not trying to stick up for either side here, I'm just saying that most companies (and especially my own and my friends experiences with Logitech) try to be as polite and courteous as possible. This is honestly the first time I have ever heard anything bad said about Logitech's customer support. But like they say, first time for everything.

If you look on the Logitech.com forums, there is a G27 order thread and I guess this has been going on for quite a while. There are people on there who ordered in December when the website said "in-stock" and are still waiting with no explanation.

It appears it is a different company that runs the website and could be responsible for the confusion. I feel I have been very polite and the only reason I called in the first place was because the order tracking links they sent were broken, which apparently is a problem they are also working on.

My intent for posting here was really not about the customer support. I probably just dealt with a couple rude or lazy people and will get the wheel eventually and be happy. I have also heard great things about their support, which is why I went with them.

The real reason I posted is because bottom line they show in stock when they are not. They have not fixed it yet and I just wanted to warn people so they would not be let down when their order does not ship right away.

I guess my message was convoluted by the customer service stuff, but they are the ones who suggested the G27 to me as a way to get a wheel right away!:crazy:
 
All I can say is I ordered a G27 off the website a couple of weeks ago, it was shipped the next business day, I received it four business days later...I hope it gets sorted out for anyone who has had issues
 
I ordered 3 G27s 3 weeks ago and I had to cancel 2 of them because of price changes and Logitech Support handled it wonderfully. Ordered my G27 on a Monday and received it on Friday. I've called Logitech support many times and I've always gotten reasonable help from them. Sorry that you're having issues.
 
Why is it that when i go to logitech's site all i see is the spinning circle when i try to see their wheels? The site was working for me a week or two ago.
 
The exact same thing happened to me. My DFGT is broken, and Logitech assured me they had a G27 to send instead and I would pay the difference. I'm waiting for the UPS shipping label to arrive.
They're customer service at around 11am on friday was excellent. I waited for less than 2 minutes on hold, and the rep was polite.
I hope the stock issue gets resolved before its time to ship my order out.

Hope you get it right away! It is weird because quite a few people on this forum have ordered and received their G27's quickly, while over on the Logitech forums there are some really upset people who have been waiting months.

That is odd indeed. I've got a TM T500 on order with another site (back order till feb 5th), but I was very satisfied with the the DFGT the past few months. I never had issues with the G25 or G27 either (for the short periods I owned them, as well.) I've owned pretty much every model of logitech's ffb wheels at one point or another, since the launch of Gran Turismo 3, and eventually sold each of them on craigslist or to friends over the years, as I was once a broke college student, and would hit financial binds...But I never had any defective products. the quality overall is very high with Logitech products. I hope most people remember that even a company as successful as Logitech will come across problems. So for now I'm giving Logitech a bit of slack in this case, and just being patient.
 
I've been waiting on a replacement G27 since September 2010, Logitech just keep feeding me lies about not having stock and then they try an tell me that the wheel has been sent, received and signed for.

Guess what they sent it to the wrong address and someone got a free G27.

They now say they are following up the situation......pffft

Still waiting.......................
 
You guys don't understand how back-ordered they are world-wide, here in NZ i placed my order through local electronics store On November 29th, it arrived on Jan 26th after being told it wouldn't be there till 3rd Febuary, i'm not suprised you haven't received it yet as there would be people who ordered before you who might still not have their's.
If you received bad customer service that's unfortunate, as they are one of the few big companies i've had positive experience with.

Be patient, it's worth the wait :) You will love the weight of the box even compared to the DFGT, ohh and when you put your hand on that cold,stiff stainless steel brake pedal and smell that leather you might have to change your underwear.
 
wondering if anyone could help me here.i have a g25 at the momment but the power light keeps flashing(wheel not turning in game)tryed everything..so ive decided to buy a new g27.would i be able to use my g25 shifter with the g27 wheel?

if so i will just keep the g25 for spares then.

Can't swap shifter between G25 and G27, not either way around. I can confirm that. Sorry mate.
 
Hmm. I ordered last week with the 20% off and had mine in 3 days...mot an issue!!!

My buddy ordered one a few days later and his hasn't shipped...seems like hit or miss!!

EDIT: hes getting his on wens :)

just got a shipping confirmation on my G27 that I ordered last Wednesday, looks like they are back in stock. Hope the OP get's his confirmation soon.

Same here. Just got the shipping confirmation for my order, which was placed last Friday.

The Logitech guy last week guessed mine would not ship until late February, so I was prepared to wait for the long haul. However, I just got my shipping notice a few minutes ago! This has been the strangest order...

On a side note, I just ordered the Fanatec GT2, clubsport pedals, and shifter this morning! Not really expecting anything until May, but maybe I will be pleasantly surprised. Probably going to sell the G27 eventually.
 
Logitech hooked me up, so personally, I think they have fantastic customer service. If they're out of stock, what can they do but make more?

I had a DFGT that was 2 years out of warranty, and 3 emails later, I had a replacement on the way. So based on that, I'd say be patient, you'll get your wheel.

You could always go buy a G27 at a store with a good return policy, keep the receipt, and then return the new one when you get it. That's what I did with the DFGT.
