I genuinly want to hear from people who have these wheels or who have used both. If money were no object..... Which would people rather have? Which one is GENUINLY better and why?
Which ever comes over as better i WILL be buying on the strength of what people say as i havent tried either.

Owned a G27. Now have a T500.

The G27 is a great wheel. The Manual is a complete blast.

T500 is a precision beast! Feels so much closer to real then G27. The biggies for me was the speed and power. If you get the car sideways the T500's speed counters like real life. I was actually able to drift with ease on T500. The center and slower motors in the G27 leave it see sawing the center often.

If you can attain a T500. Do so. It is simply awesome. Hope you got are strength. The thing can wrap up a weak person in the wheel. I am by no means a wimp. First night I learned to respect it's power. Got sideways and the jerked out my hands and spun around jamming my thumb. I was like whoa you gotta respect this one. G27 while strong could be driven with one hand easily. T500 can be but you break off center hang on. Hahaha

Hope that helps inform you. Both are great and light years more fun then a DS3

Honestly if manual is not important I'd suggest a DFGT then T500. G27 if you cab snag it used or on sale. Fanatec better the. G27. But they are closer to each other where the T500 stands out from both.

Should note my other buddy has the Orange GT3 RS from Fanatec with CSP pedals. He used my T500 and was simply amazed. Was gonna order one when I told him to wait on Fanatec to fire back.

Pedals on T500 have double the resolution on PS3 compared to other pedals. So they are very precise. Love them as well. I got a video in the T500 thread about brake mods.

I can't believe anyone would choose the G27, if money were no object.

+1

T500RS is so much better than G27 if money were no object. To me it feels more realistic than the G27 and has better feedback. However, the G27 is a great wheel, too!

Wheel...
I had ever used T500RS.

Of course,if you use this wheel for drifting,I recommend you buy it and TH8,because T500RS's clutch doesn't work in GT5.So..it's hard for without clutch to do drifting.

On the force back,I don't want say more, just EXCELLENT!!The feeling is just like the real car, yep,I had ever drove a real car.

Obvious, compared to the G25,whether force back feeling,or wheel turn back speed,it's too much difference

Hmmmmm sounds like the T500 RS is a pretty spot on wheel however i couldnt help notice a fanetec wheel that looks awesome and beyond most others. Any more thoughts?

Fanatec's new line is looking very impressive for sure. Take a look through the announcements thread for more info. I have a gt2 and am considering upgrading to the CSW.
I cannot comment personally on your other two options as i havent used either. But the t500 seems to be the clear cut choice between them, with all my research. Im a gear addict ;)

Oh congrats on the trip.
