I would vote for ether Rocket League, MGS V TPP or Fallout 4...

However while the fallout 4 and MGS V is at the top... My problem isn't about these games it's self, the problem is with myself. I'm kind of person who would lean towards Open World Games..wait...but isn't fallout 4 an Open world game?? Of Course it's...

It's the fact that i'm not a huge RPG, Strategy or Post apocalyptic fan... Fallout 4 is actually one of the few RPG's and Post Apocalyptic that i really love...
The Last Of Us for example was one of the best 2013 games, it had better things like storyline and such than GTA V did but yet i'm still leaning towards GTA V...

Don't get me Wrong, I LOVE fallout 4...it's just that i'm leaning more towards Just Cause 3 because it's seems like the game that fits better to me and I might enjoy that game more...
But For Now, it's FALLOUT 4 for me, i might change it once Just Cause 3 released...

Out of all the games in that list, Super Mario Maker.

Suprised no Forza 6 or Splatoon in that list. Both are incredible games. Splatoon was such a huge surprise this year honestly.
My suggestion of Splatoon above seems to have been ignored, likewise for @Wolfe saying Xenoblade X which is another good shout.

Its not even a contest for me this year, Splatoon is just far and away better than anything I've played on Xbox, PS4 and Wii U.

I have played all of the biggest contenders: MGS V, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, The Witcher, Rocket League.

All I can say is that this year has been unbelievable! The Witcher surprised me the most and my vote goes to that one.

I say metal gear but that may change when rainbow 6 comes out

I love Fallout 4, but MGS V takes it. The music, the gameplay, the voice acting (but not the script :p) was brilliant. So much so I almost forgive the absence of David Hayter.

My votes for 2015.

Best single player game Fallout 4.

Best racing game Forza 6.

Best multiplayer game Black Ops 3.

Hmm strange, seeing how Fallout 4 is leading the votes.

Witcher 3 has a better story than Fallout and more content in terms of quests in my opinion.
MGS5 has better gameplay by far, only gameplay that may match MGS5 or be even better is Bloodborne.

Fallout 4 gets those 2 things sort of in-between, but it doesn't beat the story of witcher, or the gameplay of MGS5/Bloodborne.

That's my view on it atleast :)

I think if fallout 4 came out 3 months ago and mgs5 came out last week this poll would look very different...

Voted for Bloodborne. It is just a perfect game IMO. Also one of the few games nowadays that don’t exploit all the crappy stuff that the games industry is trying to make the norm – no micro transactions, no seasonal passes for cut content, no pre-order bonuses (with the exceptions of themes) and so on. That just puts the cherry on top of an already great game.

Fallout 4 is fun and all, but it is so buggy and ugly at times with bad performance and that ruins it for me. It will be a great game one day with all the patches and DLCs.

Did not play Witcher 3 or MGS 5, so I could be wrong ..

It will probably be The Phantom Pain - Fallout 4 is great, but not a huge step up from Fallout 3, whereas The Phantom Pain was a huge revolution in comparison to previous games.

Don't really care for Fallout or Metal gear, was between TW3 and Rocket league and although I hated TW3's decision make for different endings the game was phenomenal.

Collecting votes from YouTube,FB and GTPlanet.

Resulting in 5 games being the top contenders for the GOTY award by the votes of the masses.

Rocket League
Bloodborne
Witcher 3
Metal Gear Solid V
Fallout 4

One of them....will be collecting more votes in the coming days and the final decision will then be decided according to overall votes from different websites, and the overall decision from GTPlanet votes.

Meaning we may have a GTPlanet award winner and an "Internet" award winner, that is, if both games are different, Fallout 4 is leading the votes overall right now.

MGSV. Not only Kojima's last MGS game but also a huge improvement over Peace Walker and showcases the Fox Engine's capabilities.

Voted MGSV. Easily the best game I've played this year. I'd even say it's the best game on PS4 ATM.

Real Racing 3 on Android.

GOTY Awards 2015 Winner: The Witcher 3
GTPlanet Winner: Fallout 4 (So Far)
My Winner: Bloodborne

My Top 5 for this year would be (IMO):

Fallout 4 & Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain & Just Cause 3 & The Witcher 3:Wild Hunt and Rocket League.
(Not in particular order).

I think the extreme weapon, armor, and Settlement crafting in Fallout 4 is the feature helping it win GOTY. You can build most anything you want in this game including an entire town if you desire. As a total package there are not many RPG's that touch Fallout 4 IMO. It is one thing to acquire or obtain a house or settlement in an RPG. But when you can build the weapons, armor, and an entire city any way you want, that is truly innovative for an RPG. One of the best RPG's I have ever played. Right next to Skyrim. At this point I have to give F4 GOTY 2015. Just such an amazing game.

Konami basically **** on Kojima's legacy by introducing a FOB "tax" and introducing microtransactions. This whole business of banning Kojima from The Game Awards Thursday was the dagger in the casket known as MGSV. Kojima or no, that game can now officially go to hell.

My vote: Fallout 4

Only played 2 on the list, so my vote goes to Fallout 4.

Definitely will be picking up The Witcher 3 soon tho to see what the fuss is all about :)

Isn't Driveclub Bikes a DLC pack for a 2014 game? Having never played the game, that's what I thought

It's also a stand-alone game, if that counts...?

It's a standalone for those who don't have the full game with the cars and an add-on for those that do, so it kind of works both ways.

Previously I said Splatoon but Xenoblade Chronicles X is magnificent so far...really gripped me. Says a lot since im not a huge fan of open worlds, Fallout 4 bored the tears out of me.

It'll be interesting to see if it ends up beating out Splatoon on my judging.
