I just can't say enough good things about Xenoblade Chronicles X. I like mecha, I like sci-fi, I like RPGs, exploration, platforming, customization...it's got it all, and more, and it keeps on giving. It will probably be my favorite game of all time.

I voted for Black Ops 3, I hope it was for current and not last Gen. Brilliant game on current gen. (Current gen is Xbox One/PS4 to anyone still living in the past)

I really don't see how it could be anything but Fallout 4.
Witcher 3 seemed like a great one but that was mostly because of the graphics and open world. Now Fallout 4 is out and it carries both of those high points with more popularity.

Seeing something like Black Ops or Battle Front is laughable to me. Might as well just put Madden football up there.

But it's not dramatically different to Fallout 3. It observes the main tropes of the open-world game: "go to this location that you have never been to and kill everything/find this item/complete this task". On the other hand, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain sets you a task and then gives you the complete freedom in how you do it; there's no one right or wrong way to finish a mission.

Well, The Witcher III is sweeping real GOTY awards so obviously it has something going for it. :p

It does it's moved the rpg genre forward the most. Its set a new standard for rpgs and as much as i like fallout 4 it's nowhere near as good as the witcher 3 in terms of quality.
