Game save file won't load :/

Hi i tried downgrading to version 1.10 yesterday but for some reason my saved game wouldn't load up, however when i created a new user on my PS3 and tried loading GT5 it loaded up perfectly fine in version 1.10. Does anyone know why this happening and what i can do to get my saved game data to load up in version 1.10??

By the way i have DLC on my account, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

DLC is probably the problem, in version 1.10 the DLC you have didn't exist so your save file is referring to cars/paints/etc which aren't there. Why do you want to go back to 1.10 anyway?

Damn, ok is there anyway i can remove the DLC from my account?? and i want to go back to 1.10 because i want to do some testing with my cars and see just how much PD have improved the game while still being able to play the game lol :D hence update 1.10 :D

Make sure you back up your save before you do this, you could try deleting everything DLC related (suits,cars,paints) on your save and then downgrading, it might work.

You can't delete DLC in game as far as I'm aware.

ok i'll have a go at that i think :) will wait to see if anyone else has any more suggestions before i do though :) just to be on the safe side :D

You can delete DLC items and DLC cars :)
 
Its not only the dlc that's an issue, its all your progress and things bought (in-game) you did while the updated.

You can't use an exsisting save file on a downgraded software version.

Its wise to backup your save before updating in the future.

oh that sucks, how come you can't use save files on downgraded software?? is it the different lines of programming involved that stop it from working??
 
Cannot go back to earlier levels now. Ive tried this on a seperate machine all you will get is a black screen.
 
I haven't downgrade from version 2.07
As for 2.06 I never had a problem except once.
I was using a Toyota 86gt 2012 prior the downgrade.
Wich led me to the black screen you guy are describing.

I simply went back to current version, changed the car I was using to a non DLC car.
Did the whole thing again to access version 2.00 without any problem.
Dlc stuff are weirdly showed, except from the paint chips if you click them the game freeze hard.

While at version 2.00 you can paint stuff with DLC colors that wasn't there at version 2.00. Colors like XJR9- Purple, Marrone Apus .. they are named "No such paint chip". At version 2.00, once you paint any cars with a 2012 colors its shown with a deep matte black stealth but when you go back online at current version, the car is correctly showed in XJR9 - Purple, or Marrone Apus.
 
Dont quote me, Im sure PD patched going back in the last update a silent one at that, It used to be able to go back but not now since the last update

I was planning to roll back one last time in the upcoming weeks.
I'm starting to wonder now.
Will let you know once I get the chance 👍
 
Thanks for all the help guys, i find it annoying that PD put all these blocks into place to stop some people from taking advantage of the system and just don't think for 1 second how its going to affect guys like us who just want to play it for a bit of fun and do some testing. Its very very annoying :/
 
Hi guys managed to downgrade to 1.10 successfully :D it took a while but it was well worth it :D

What you do is you downgrade to 2.06, then you do a race in a none DLC car and let it save the game, then you downgrade from 2.06 to 1.10 and it works like a charm :D takes a while but it works :D thanks for all the advice guys it was all of you who gave me the idea of downgrading to 2.06 first and then downgrading to 1.10 :D

Glad you succeed. Just dont buy cars at version 1.10, you wont be able to use them at version 2.07.
I should had ask to glitch me a few RMs but its too late now hehe

yea it is a bit sorry, i've done all the testing i wanted to do and am back on 2.07 now lol :D but if u ever have 5 hours to spare and 6GB of download space to spare then u should do it :D its well worth seeing how much PD have changed the game in just 10 updates :D
