for damage, keep it on max (this force us to drive clean), for penalty i suggest to keep it min for one reason: with penalty setting to maximum, sometimes one car touch another car and the penalty goes to the touched car!

Wall of text incoming!! Lol

I'm leaning towards damage on max as well, didn't have any trouble with it in the tests, even though I tapped a few people throughout :P anyway pitting can fix it, and it adds some realism if you're into that lol

Penalties I'm not so sure about, in the tests I noticed that sometimes if you tap someone your cars go transparent! In one of the monza photos I was in about 3rd or 4th in the exit of the first chicane but you can't see my car, I'm guessing as I'm 'invisible' due to the penalty system, even though I didn't actually have a penalty :/ makes other drivers be able to just drive through you... Don't know if you find this to be a positive or not but I find it annoying :)

Maybe try light pens next test? See what happens!

Just my theory on the tires; race mediums with mandatory stop, as we all have the same tyres then, different tyres mean different corner speeds which means more accidents, but different tyres means strategies, which I love the idea of tbh :) not sure which to go for!

Anyway great test, very fun! If we have racing like we did in that test for the whole season it should be a cracking tournament! Good pics too, just need more of me in them haha, jk ;)

Thank you for allowing me to use my stealth nsx. After our first test session im not sure keeping the damage on max will improve our racing experience. In Fact it may suffer due to the sensitivity. I fear these races may be more about conservative driving rather then racing. If the damage was set low and the penalties were high then I think we would get much better racing. The penalties would make us cautious but not fearful. Id like to see the finish come down to a fight between as many cars as possible.

Hopefully something changes for the start of the season cause the randomly ghosting cars was annoying. But other then that it was a very eye opening racing session for myself.

Cheers for hosting Gamesta - really enjoyed it.

I'm kind of split on the damage and not overly fussed either way. My reasoning for max would be that I definitely applaud the realism side and making people think twice but then on the other hand some relatively minor incidents did seem to ruin peoples races.

If you're starting mid pack then your inevitably likely to have more chance of 1st lap contact. I certainly made a few mistakes myself but I was also caught up in other peoples shunts a couple of times. Max damage will kind of play into the hands of the guys who are already good/quick. But hey that's racing I suppose!!!

All in all, seemed like a really good group and nobody was overly aggressive on purpose so I don't think it will be a big problem either way.

Did anyone jot down any lap times for the circuits? Would be cool to know a rough guide for each circuit.

Ugh Wish I would have been able to make it. Time change really messed up my sunday.

Thinking about running a room Tonight for Un-offical practice.

One thing I noticed in the reply of Monza is that some people were cutting the corner on the chicanes. As in not even trying to stay between the lines and just taking the rough bump and keeping speed. Is there any chance to have a drivers choice for a different track from the standard ones? As I don't think the Penalty was enacted for that corner cut.

I'm ok with a track change for Monza... my suggestions would be Le Mans Time/Weather change, Special Stage Route 5 or Autmn Ring (Full Course).

Personally as a lover of sportscar racing I think Monza is a great circuit. There are only a relatively small number of 'real' circuits in the game that sportscar racing takes place at and Monza is one of them, although I understand the corner cutting might be an issue.

Just my opinion but as I don't get to play the game that much - I try to use the real circuits as often as poss. Le Mans would be a good replacement but would rather it knock off Tokyo!!

Tokyo is a great track, and so is monza. Id like to keep monza. And I would rather have the autumn ring over special stage 5. The autumn ring ( full course ) is a great track to.

I love Monza too but it kind of stinks to see a few people taking cheap cuts when the rest of us are looking for a good time. But with out having someone able to call the short cutters out, it's hard to vote to keep the track. I would say Autumn Ring would work. Any of the larger variations.

last night i was in fuji racing whith te cars in extreme and i liked the cars I race , almost ready for the next practice , at fuji

Ok It looks like it is between Le Mans and Autumn Ring Full for the track change.

On the lap time front for Fuji I am running 1:39.XXX and R346 I am Running 1:39.xxx
at Suzuka I am in the 2:02.xxx range.

Fuji is still going to be in the Series it is for Monza the track change is for.

Le Sarthe would be the best replacement imo, it's got long straights and chicanes like monza, but cutting can be a problem there too from my past experiences :( if it happens at monza it will there too!

Autumn ring is cool though, I'd be happy with that :)

Ok, It seems Autumn Ring is the popular choice so that is the one we will replace Monza with.

Ok, The Final Test Session is this sunday if you do not have your car confirmed before teh start of the test session please do so. If you do not confirm your car I will be forced to give your spot to one of the reserve drivers for the season.

Yep You guys are ok I think I am only waiting on 1 driver to confirm their car and 1 driver to accept my PSN add.

Going to have a bit of a Fuji test now if anyone fancies it. Are we doing Fuji GT or F - I've forgotten?!
