I wish the Nurbrgring 24 race would be at least 6 laps, a season finale endurance would be a great way to wrap it off! That way pit strategy will come into play...
Also I may after all go with my beloved Takata Dome NSX, I just love that car!

I agree and upped it to 6 laps but remember there is a mandatory pitstop every race so pit strategy will be key in every race.

Can you update my car selection please? I'm going with the car I know and love...

Yep no Problem.

Remember Everyone the Test Session will be taking place Sunday March 13th 2010
at 12:00pm EST 5:00pm GMT See you on the track!

I think I'll have to pass on this. I'm sure you have your reasons for changing the cars, but I like racing super gt cars as they are meant to be. Good luck with your series 👍

There's huge gaps, both performances and HP/Torque wise, among the handful of Super GT cars available in the game (most of which belong to different seasons that relied upon different rulesets), just FYI.

They're actually meant to be limited somehow at an even amount of HP and then some will still require ballasting to match the other cars performances (the same happens in the real Super GT series, by the way, even though all of the cars sort of abide to the same specifics).

Are we doing a team championship between the different types of cars that have 2 drivers in them? Could add an interesting extra element :)

@ 997081 There is only 2 of each car max to make sure there is diversity in the field and the Xanavi GT-R is already at it's max.

@ MindlessRiff That is a good Idea I will get the OP updated with the teams Championship as well

Ok, Updated the OP with the team's championship everyone is involved so another team maybe added upon final car selection as well as prizes for teh teams championship.

I have to go out this friday off town this for this weekend, I be there monday 14 again
thanks

No Problem, I have manged my way to free up my Sunday on the 20th of March so I will be running a second test session then as well.

thanks , for the 20 I will be ready , with my yelowhat gtr , And will take a car that nobody will use , have to try it to decide to be exclusive, jajaja see you there

jasonpooley and I are running a couple of fun races tonight - see here. One of them is run to the same rules as Gamesta's series here so join us if anyone fancies a little unofficial practice ;)

As I saw over in another thread I would like to suggest the Mandatory Pit-stop be done away with. Here is what was said directly quoted.

I'd be interested if it's on Saturday, I'm in another GT500 series on Sunday.

I think tire choice should be left up to the individual, as well as when to pit. In a 45min race a pitstop will be almost a must for anything but hard tires, making it mandatory is not really necessary. We are just finishing a SuperGT 300 series and ran into problems with a couple of drivers that were constantly wanting us to change the rules to make pit stops mandatory; these are the guys who brake as late as possible in every corner, think every corner is a passing opportunity, and generally drive like they are in an Aspec race. We seldom had a race where one of these two wasn't running into the back of cars, or just crashing and taking others out. Everyone else could run the entire race without pitting, both of these guys would have no tires left after 8-10 laps and would either have to pit or just completely lose all hope of staying on the track. Mandatory pit stops only reward this kind of driving. I believe tire management is a very important part of racing, taking that away just promotes bad driving and leads to a lot more crashes.

I'm in either way, just hope you reconsider the mandatory pit stops, or at least let the driver decide when to pit.

I would like to see people actually trying out different tires to see how long they last while also having to judge if they need to pit versus getting away with not pitting.

Just something for discussion for this GT500 Series.

Definitely not a bad shout in terms of promoting clean racing but on the other hand novices were encouraged to join this series in the OP. The best drivers would obviously look after their tyres better and be even further adrift than those just starting out. Don't get me wrong - I would say that doing away with mandatory stops is the right call for most series and I don't mind doing it here too, but it was the kind of beginners league thing that appealed to me in the first place and it certainly never crossed my mind to be over aggressive just because we have the chance to change rubber. I can see both sides tho and am easy either way.

Mandatory Pits will remain inthe series if there is a problem we will figure something out during the season. Also here in North America on Sunday we change our clocks back 1 hour is this happening in Europe this weekend or the weekend of March 27th? If not and there is no time change for European players the next 2 weeks then the Practiuce sessions will be at 4:00pm GMT if I am not mistaken.

Tommorrow is test session one and remember to have your car finalized by the 20th of March.

I will be opening the room for test session 1 in about 50 mins I will post the room number here.

if there are any spots open i would be interested in joining this series. i am available to race the practice run today.

psn: brandofo
car: epson nsx

The series if full at this point but will set you down as a Reserve Driver.

Note:The race has been set up in My Lounge so no room number to give.

I've literally just seen the updates about clock changes so thought it wasn't for another hour!! Going to be running a little late.

Ok Here are the Pictures I took from some of the races we held in the first test session. I think the first test session went very well and and there was some good close racing and I had a lot of fun. Remember for Test Session 2 you will need to be in your "final choice" of car which you will have to use for the entire season.

I am ok with the GT500 Stealth cars being used as they are the same stats as there counterpart just a different livery.

Now to my questions after Test Session 1

Damage off,Min or keep it on Max?

Penalty off,Min or keep it on Max?

Now for the Pictures
