Gauging Interest: Northern NJ

Hey Chris, if you come in mid-October, I'll be there for at least a day. I believe it's the second week in October; I'm off school from that Wednesday to Sunday. I think I'm going to spend it in DC and drive up to see John for a day. Your opportunity to check out a moderately-powered domestic SUV. How could you turn that down?

I'm planning to be at the 3/10/07 NNJR SCCA autocross at E-town. This is a weather permitting event, so of course it isn't firm. If it's just too darn cold and blustery, there are three other March events and I will be at the first one with decent weather.

Holy Crap! I'm gonna be in Pittstown this weekend...If the weather is warm enough, I might bike out to Englishtown with my cousins. Its really loads of fun! I honestly had no idea that you guys lived so close!

M did you ever go to an M-Club event at Giants Stadium last year? or the year before?

No, I moved to Jersey last July. Haven't done anything except once with the SCCA. What this a BMW NA event or a BMWCCA event?

Not a BMW related event. It was an organization called "The Motorsport club" or MClub for short. Their site has been down, and I'm just curious if they still exist.

Out of all the autocrosses I've been to (PCA, BMWCCA, NASA, etc) Mclub was the most... friendly. And I'd hate to see them end.


Also the guy that ran it sounded EXACTLY like Marvin the Martian.

That's his car. If you see that car you have to attempt to talk to him. Just to hear him speak.
 
Any meet ups happening in the near future? I might be able to at least attend one if it's at E-town, that's for sure.
 
Anytime after Dec of '07. I will be getting my liscence then (if i pass:nervous:) and hopefully if there is an even my dad will let me use his car giving I cant pay for an extras car insurance.
 
If you pay for my gas money (Probably about $100-$120) I'll brave going through NYC and 6 hours of driving for a LAN party.
 
Actually, I don't even think you need to get in NYC. If John is to make the GTP party, he will host it at his top of the line apartment in northern NJ, with all the accommodations set up for you.

You really wouldn't have to drive through NYC, you'll drive around it.
