Ok sorry for not consulting any of you on this, but I went ahead just now and posted this in the captains home at GTN, we might as well cause time is running out and so are our options ( like there are any round here :rolleyes: :P ) and these guy's know plenty of olr 'ers that can do the job ;)






Hi all! I'm here to start this thing off by asking for some help for team GTP

At the moment we have ready

Boombexus
Bollocks
Me
Made in Holland
Prancing Horse
Der Alta
and Zero

all going to take part no matter what, Talentless is deciding wether he will join us or not

It looks like the other 3 though aren't going to be taking part, the Race Idiot is giving us the run around Mobil1 is nowhere to be seen,and Dudebusta has had things come up in real life as far as I'm aware .

So we need 2 maybe 3 drivers ( if Talentless is too chicken ) to make our team of 10
and I'm asking in here cause Rod mentioned to me about there being extra drivers around looking for a team.

So ..... Rod or whoever, any chance of helping us out here please? we would really like to have the 10 drivers in order to take part and a couple more fast guy's would be cool
 
If you want me to join I will, but I cannot promise my Sharkport will work or that I will have good times. But I'll try.
 
PM me a few challenges, include where I can get the cars you want me to try. Might as well see where I'm at as far as skill goes.
 
I'm really surprised that out of the entire filed that we have available, we can't field a full team. I'm ready for this, and have been warning the wife for the past month, that I'll be disappearing for a week or two in January to run these races. It's only costing me a week in Virginia with the in-laws to keep her happy! That and a $400 clothes shopping spree last weekend. One in which I assisted for the 5 hours that it ran.

So...What do we do? where can we find another 3-4 racers? I'm going searching tonight to see what I can find in my home town. One of my wifes old co-workers used to play quite a bit. I'll see if I can hunt him down.

Any other possiblities?

I've been wracking my brain over this one. 93SHO is still a viable possibility. I'll touch base with him as soon as I can.

I spoke with Robin a night or two ago and he's assured me that he's in for the long haul. I expressed to him that he really needs to be active with the rest of the team. I'll be a little less polite with him the next time we speak! :fdevil:

Good call Kelly. Maybe we will get a few bites from that.

Hiya all...dissappointing isn't that we can't get enough interest to field 10 racers...considering the GTP has 8125 members :rolleyes: Anyway...wild horses couldn't drag me away from this and I'm still looking forward to it. I start 3 weeks Holidays in 2 days (WOOHOO!!!) so GT3 may just get a bit of a work out ;) gotta get that practice in! Keep me posted on the team front and if I can think of anyone I'll run it past you all.

I just had an idea! 💡 Maybe I could talk Ron into abandoning ship at gt3 times they have plenty trying to just make the team, not like here :( So if maybe he wanted to behave and take back all those nasty things he said about us at GTN :devil:come join us ?????????? RON!!!!!

There will be no risk of finishing last, only the joy of crushing the opponents:D
 
I'm realistic enough to know that it will be the toughest comp we ever participated in.
But without hope or faith there would be no reason for us to join it in the first place.
 
I guess the good thing is that I wasn't here when Ron committed his offense (was it really an offense?). I'm stepping out on a limb, that Ron is the other half of the "Mr. P and Lotus" clan?

On my serach IRL for another racer, I talked to my wife's former co-worker last night. He is having trouble with his IA license, so he's out. He works retail, so hasn't touched the game for more than a few hours in the past month.

I'll keep looking...

Been way too busy lately to even pop my head in here...let alone turn the ps2 on :( ....as usual everyone wants a project completed before x-mas. Finished work now though :D got 3 weeks Holiday so look out GT3 :lol:
Damn shame we can't find anyone to join us yet, we can only hope we get someone in time....can alter ego's sign up? :lol: :D ;)
 
I'm getting killed!

Work is just nutty right now. The hotel I work at is undergoing a $30 million rennovation and it should have been completed back on the 18 of Dec. It's the 23rd and it's not really complete just yet. Guests are pissed and everything seems to be going to hell in a hand basket. The hotel caught fire last night as well. Small fire, nothing major but added chaos none the less.
Damn the holidays.
 
Sounds like hectic time for us all , I still got some gifts to buy last minute christmas eve dash for whatever is left I guess !

Anyway about the team .. don't have a clue what to do now. Guess we'll snag someone last minute I hope so!

Anyway I'm gonna be busy for next few days so if I don't get chance ....

I will keep my eye open for any new racing talent that may visit GTP in the next few days. Not much of an chance i think, but you may never know. Don't think i will be much online though, it's not really the Christmas spirit, to sit behind your PC screen all day:D

I will be slaving away at the salt mines on Xmas. And New Years. It's an extremely busy time of the season for us. Don't care to much for the holidays anymore as I usually have to work every single one of them.

I haven't forgotten about you either Mischa. I am going to stop at the bank to find out how to get you some cashola!

Well, i will buy an extra lottery ticket this month, so it's an 1 to a million chance i win enough money for a ticket to Vail;)

Holland, I know sub 79 second laps are possible, and an 8 min. flat total time. I have managed your first lap before and have a faster best lap. You cannot let the whiny Talentless pass you, can you? Oh, Boom, you need to edit the thread. Thanks, Lotus. Merry holidays to all.
