there is some confusion going on about the M3 CSL video...... has this M3 been tuned?

The Car has approx. 420 PS, racemuffler, chiptuning and the lap was driven using R4 RacingTyres. In the newer Videos the Configuration/Tuning is showed at beginning.

I saw that some people are talking about the realism, cause it would not be possible to do such a fast lap in reality with the M3 CSL.

I think the realism is quite good in GT4. Using the same configuration as the real car will result nearly in lap times driven in reality. And don't forget: This is a game, and we all drive with no risk. In reality - one mistake - maybe your first and last one! :eek:

i knew he was using racing tires....

the realism is almost right on in GT4...

i took a stock M3 CSL with S2 tires (the Real CSL's tires are Michelen Cup Tires)
and got a time of 7.53.264, 3 seconds off the real life time of 7.50.xxx....i drove like someone would in real life, afraid of running off the road, and possibly killing yourself
 
Hey all, I'm having trouble getting into photodrive (I have the Japanese version and cant understand it).

The following was done in Time trial at the nurburgring:
After racing, I saved the replay onto memory card. Now when I exit the 'save replay' screen and click on the 'replay' Icon, It starts to show the replay footage as per normal. Now when I press the select button, it pauses the screen and some japanese writing appears at the bottom (the same thing happens when I didnt save the replay).

Once the replay is saved into the memory card, when viewing the replay,doesnt the select button take you into photodrive?

What am I doing wrong?

The orange vantage is not very well placed
it took me so long to figure out where should the car stop :)

hope this will inspire more people to create their masterpieces

:grumpy: im jealous. photoshoping photomodes was my thing, now you stole it. :irked::mad:🤬

I demand you take pictures of the 02' Mercedes-Benz SL500, 04' SL65 AMG, and SL-R in that same pose. SLR at front, SL500 back right. SL65 back left.

:grumpy: now. and dont photoshop them together, I want to. Poser! :ouch:

Wow, I've just discovered Photodrive in the last couple of hours and its awesome. I can see myself spending more time in photomode that in actual racing.

But I got a question:
In Photodrive, how can you go back a couple of frames in the replay? I always have to start the replay again if I miss out on an angle of the car that that I just passed. Does anyone know?

I'll see If I can post up some shots of what I'e got soon. So far its just the Amuse S2000, BMW M3 and the RUF BTR around the ring handing it sideways.
 
I have no money to buy SLR (to unlock it in arcade)
all my money goes to pimp out useless cars for photo mode
even I have been raced 2nd rally race like 20 times
because I love playing photo mode more than driving at Nurburgring
but I will definitely buy the SLR someday, also that 4 black cars

actually I already had the idea when I was playing japanese demo photo mode
planning to make some initial D battle shots or some team drift shots
but it is very difficult to find a good location and stable camera

now my final goal is to make old style Lemans lineup (don't know how it calls)
anyway .... with photoshop I can put more than 6 cars in one photo
 
:guilty:. You can always save up a lot of money. save the game. then buy the cars and take the photomode shot / transfer it to usb. restart the PS2, and have the money that you had when you saved it left.

:scared: your my only hope! :indiff: everyone else seems to be ignoring me :(

You can't go back frames, it really sucks! 👎
that's why making backfire shots can be pain in the butt
all you can do is normal play and fast forward (press L3)
so if you miss the spot, then re-run and fast forward the replay

coz GT4 always auto save, you can't load your game like you did in GT3
maybe I can try to get a SL family pics for you tomorrow if I have time

I can try to do that since I have over 800 million credits and can easily buy all those cars. After I'm done with my requests, I'll try to get those shots for you - that is unless I pass out :) This photo mode has been keeping me up all night, every night.

You can turn auto save off in the options. Go to "My Home" and select "Options" on this screen -> http://z-o-g.org/imgs/gt4/tr/myhome.jpg, then go to "Others" on this screen -> http://z-o-g.org/imgs/gt4/tr/options-2.jpg ... then turn auto save off here -> http://z-o-g.org/imgs/gt4/tr/other-settings.jpg.

Here are three pics I've uploaded recently on a different forum. Both cars were at the ring with N2 tyers on so it was sideways city.

I love photodrive. Definetly GLAD they thought of this.

The RUF is such a delight to hang sideways. Its a tad difficult to drive straight. When you lift off mid corner, it really hangs sideways (typiacal of the 911 of that vintag). If its to be driven straight, you need to be UBER careful under braking but I think you'll prolly get better times with it slightly (note, slightly) sideways.

Like in that vid of the Yellowbird being driven around the ring all sideways.....
 
Nice pics, I like the way you got them with the skids smoking in the background. Also I noticed on the first one of the M3, it had windscreen wipers, is that new to GT4 or have I just not noticed them in the other GT's?
