Getting an invitation takes way too long

I think the invitation system is a bit silly - RNG (getting an invitation for any brand from a 4 star ticket) upon RNG (getting an invitation for a specific brand).

Then PD decides to add an invite only car in Extra Menu No. 29. It’s bad enough sometimes waiting months for a car to appear in Legend but at least I know it will eventually appear. Since the Porsche Carrera GT ‘04 wasn’t my random prize car for completing Menu No. 39, it’s possible with the RNG^2 situation that I may never be able to complete this extra menu item unless they eventually decide to add the Porsche Carrera GT ‘04 as a specific (not random) prize car.

I've received in the last two months three porsche invites (I've already got the carrera by cafe/book ..).
I'd like to have one more, each type, Ferrari's but I havent ever had an invite since the beginning of the game for this brand (I've over 700k collection points now..)

I have all the invitational cars by the free month invitation after the players gamescore down vote of the last year (march/april 2022).

Hiding cars behind an invitation only wall, which is itself part of a roulette system, is a very strange mechanic. I am yet to see a Ferrari invitation since I purchased the game over a year ago. I would really like the La Ferrari and it sucks I have no control over getting it, even though I have the credits.
 
I waited 10 months for my last invite. 10 months of spinning the roulette every day, 10 months of getting repeat invites.
You cant imagine how much I hate this system.
 
Finally got a Bugatti invitation a few days ago after playing almost daily since release (536 days logged in). Fortunately for me I don't care too much for the Veyron but it could of course just as well had been one of the other invitation cars I like better.
 
I've had the game for over a year and still haven't gotten a Ferrari invitation for any of the 3 invite-only Ferraris. Extremely annoying that those cars exist and I don't know if I'll ever be able to drive them. I mostly enjoy GT7, but this is beyond stupid. (I haven't completed EVERY menu book and EVERY event. Could that be the reason?)

In other words it's insanely lame for everyone. :). If it were tied to some (possibly unknown) achievement, it might make a little more sense.

Event completion doesn't affect it. Collector level does though (and doing the daily marathon), highest probability of an invite is/was from a 4 star ticket and highest probability of a 4 star ticket comes at collector level 20 or above.

I've been collector level 50 for an eternity - as I said I have been playing the game for over a year. I do the daily marathon every day that I play. I've managed to collect 300+ cars, and still can't get these.
 
Since the game's release I have received precisely one Ferrari invite. This resulted in a frantic few weeks of grinding to 'buy' a selection of Enzos, a couple of La Ferraris and one FXX. After all that grinding (yes I know it's probably not much by some standards), I didn't feel like playing the game for a few weeks :ouch:

I've also only been given the Porsche invite thrice - two of which arrived barely a week apart.

On the other hand I've got the Citron invite more times that I can count... :rolleyes:

So glad I was around when this happened.

Free invites
Polyphony Digital has released a small update for Gran Turismo 7 today (13th March 2022) to help address an issue whereby Invitations to purchase cars from Brand Central would expire much earlier than intended.

As recompense for the issue, players who log into their accounts on or before the 24th April will receive Invitations from the following manufacturers, which will expire 30 days from they are received. Players can find their new Invitations waiting for them in manufacturers’ Brand Central showrooms.

Made sure I got all the invite cars within that 30 day period.
 
So far I’ve ‘won’ 3 invitations, all for the same car (the Porsche), which I already won as the prize car when I did the final championship weeks ago. I swear it’s a deliberate wind up :lol:

i regret not paying attention on this invites when i was hard grinding the game last year.now im missing a single car (vulcan) to complete my collecrion and rng is not willing to cooperate.

I can imagine.
I also have been waiting for the Vulcan invite as the last car to collect for quite a long time. And I always felt a kind of pressure to do the daily marathon to get the ticket, which was a loose-loose situation without profit for PD, Sony or myself.
Then I was just lucky to get it.

But just being lucky is nice, if I buy a casino simulator, but it is not an option for a driving simulator IMO.

The Aston Martin Vulcan is what I am looking to buy too. I didn't have sufficient money the last time I had their invite a few months back.

Yesterday, I finally got a Ferrari invitation which allowed me to get the La Ferrari! Very happy, only took just over a year!
 
Now when i get an invite i make sure i purchase those cars right away if i don’t already have them. Credits aren’t an issue since I run Sardegna 800 almost everyday (I usually get a 4 star tickets unless I skipped the previous day and the race pays out over 700k credits for 1st place with clean race bonus) which only takes about 24 minutes.
