Getting angle in drifts in gt4

When it comes to drifiting in general, I put ALOT more emphasis on difficulty rather than just speed. Sure it might not be the fastest way through, but getting that super angle may be a crapton harder.

Geeze, this is becoming like the brake thread!

I personally prefer to go high angle, with a little (as in 100km/h) speed attached. Any higher, and right before a straight, is where I like to yank the handbrake for an extremely high angle drift. It's on the last turn on Deep Forest. I'll try to get a video up to show and example.

drop top chick why red interior on a white s2k lol ne ways ur s2k is pretty nice and clean other then the interior

Stop posting off topic Tarek. Last warning.

S2K's rule...props droptop.

Even though I like High Angle Drifts, it's not in the cards for me. I am better at high speed. Work at what you are best at, the more technical moves will come in time. My stongest corner is the second turn in Autmun Ring. I can hold a low angle drift and usually whip it around nice for the following right hander. My bane is tight hairpins, I always slide right past them.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm trying to get more angle just by 'having bigger balls' and making more of a commitment to turning more when initialy start and counter faster.

More angle means more resistance. More resistance means less speed.

I only do high angle when I can get out with suitable speed.

Wouldn't more resistance mean more friction; and more friction mean more traction in most cases; and more traction meaning more speed? Unless it's aerodymanics your talking about, I don't think I could agree with you. I mean, I see what your trying to get at, but I think it was an inapropreate choice of words. Resistance is what gives a car it's ability to go around corners. If there were more resistance when in a drift, I think we would see race cars being a lot more 'wacky' on the track. :dopey: <-- This is the un-offical wacky face!

Wacky! :dopey:

I believe he was indeed talking aerodynamics. A car traveling sideways has to cut/push through a lot more air than if it's traveling straight, and that automatically slows it down.

Would going past 90 degrees even count as a drift?
It seems more like loosing it bigtime and bringing it back... Not really controlled and I've never seen it in real life...

Also, off topic. Droptop chick... That is you in your avatar? You own a S2000? And like playing GT?

I haven't watched the vid yet, but as far as I stand going farther than 90 d's is not drifting in my book. Still if you can get that far and save your ass, I'll give credit for that.

He doesn't need to save his ass. He doesn't even slow down once he reaches 90+ degrees.

Hmm...Interesting. I really need to watch this video when I get home.

Man just stop! Anyone that asks this again could search for it OR EVEN LOOK A FEW POSTS UP!!! Why is every thread turning into Droptop's S2000:dunce: A lot of people own cool cars here, why don't ask them??!

Just quit with these questions, I don't know how many times she said she owned that S2000:crazy:

i wouldn't doubt its all because she has 2 X chromosomes.
90+ is possible, takes some power and speed for sure, and doesn't only apply to just skylines.

Leave em alone, they're still going through "puberty" :D

I am too, I'm 15 and even I don't act so DESPERATE:yuck::dunce:

And TRi:lol: "two X chromosomes":lol: Well I think that's a way of saying what I thought TOO:lol::lol::D

Pfffft sorry, I didn't realise I couldn't make a friendly comment on these boards...

Now this is serious, I'm sorry, I was seeing all kind of these post made by others asking the same question OVER AND OVER AGAIN: asking like three times if that's her S2000. I'm sorry cause I suspect you were only being friendly BUT SOME ARE JUST SO............11 YEAR OLDS if you know what I mean

Sorry for me replying to YOU instead of the actual trouble makers:cheers: sorry......

Acting desperate? ... I see...
I contributed to the thread aswell as asking that so there's hardly anything bad about it...
Plus I'm 18, so I think I have been through puberty...
I am a casual user of these boards and didn't realise that the question had been asked over and over...
I could understand why some of you would be stressed if I had posted in an immature manner, but I simply asked 3 questions...

So 'Tri' , How much of a hypocrite do you want to be? You post NOTHING relevant within that post... Why didn't you PM me?

Back on topic: Those videos won't work for me...

you win, i get off-topic as well. but i didn't mean anything directed towards you, just general speaking.

I mean I can't download the files from yousendit... The page just stays on the loading screen forever...
Maybe I'm trying to get the wrong one :dunce:

yousendit is not too reliable for file transfers.. do as TRi says and it'll work definitely.
