Getting Jipped

I keep getting jipped in the prize car department. I'm finaly to the point where I can enter the Amatuer and Professional races and stand a chance. So I've won a few series and my prize cars were the Mini and the Lupo  You can't even sell 'em for anything. I did win an RUF CTR2, though.

And I keep forgetting to save after the second to last race so I can try again :banghead:

I'm going to go and check out the list but what races will win me a real live race car?

do you have your super license?

lemme take that a step further,.. when you have it,... take your fastest top-end car and slap on some T2's,.... goto "Like the Wind" and win yourself a "Race Car" ;)

Or you could get 1st on all the TT' and win yourself a "Race Car"

The Amateur Euro offers the Vertigo race car, I believe. And the German TC cup offers the DGTC CLK Touring Car,which is a winner (and it looks badass to boot).

The Save-n-reload trick is key - otherwise you get hosed. Put a Post-It on your TV to remember it!

PS - don't discount the Lupo Cup car and the Beetle Cup car - those things are fast when tuned up. Gil even won the Monaco Enduro in the Lupo cupper, I believe!

Thanks. I was just looking at the prize car list and when I see what I could have won... grrr. I think the Gillete Race car was what I was going for when I got the Lupo.

Of course I don't think every car except the Race and LM cars suck. But after a while I start to miss the fast races. I bought an RGT and that thing is tuned to 1064HP  So I can get my speed that way for now.

The german touring car cup nets you the beetle cup car, lupo cup car, ruf 3400s and the Opel/Vaxhall DTM touring car.

Amateur silver arrows gets you the CLK55 DTM tourer.
Also the vertigo is a real goer even when stock because it only weighs about 800kg and handles on rails.

Well if you think you got jipped look at this race.
Professional Gran Turismo All Stars
Cars to win.
Nissan R390 GT1 LM Race Car
Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept
Toyota GT-One Race Car
Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi <------- I got this one

This is also a very time consuming cup with 10/15 lap races.

Ouch. Yep. That's getting jipped.

Apparently the RGT is not 4WD. I assumed it was but I guess not even though the CTR2 is. At least I can't take it in the 4WD races. But I'm definitely getting my use out of it. And it's a fun one, too.

No, the RGT is RWD. RR to be exact, among several other acronyms that spring to mind.

In the races where you won the Mini, you could've won the Vertigo race car. Which is not only one of my favourite race cars, but you can atleast sell it for 300,000 cr. Infact, doing that series and winning and selling that car is officially the fastest way to make money in GT3.

Yes,. there are a few races that is it obviously inelagable for. But, I'll tell ya my perspective

When I get time, the next timne I go through the game, I want to do ALL applicable races possible with th RGT. Should come out with a few thousand miles by the time I'm done,....... I friggin love that car :D

Why are you talking down upon the Mini? That thing is awsome to look at! In fact, I might have a race against somebody soon(2player) for Mini on Complex String...:mischievous:

This guy I saw at a Super Bowl party (everybody plays GT) suggested I do rallys for quick cash. I used an Evo7 and won some rally cars and got decent cash prizes. And the cars are worth like 80000 or so. So since then I've been movin' on up in the game.

I'm looking forward to trying out this Vertigo. I've heard a lot of good things.

Complete Rally Mode and you win the Suzuki Escudo :mischievous:. You can either sell it for 500,000cr or if you got the cash you can slap a stage 4 turbo and some T2's on it and smoke pretty much everything in the Test Course. The only set back is there isnt much competition against the AI...

After five attempts I won the Vertigo Race Car. First attempt: another Mini. Second attempt: Elise 190. Third attempt: Some Skyline. Fourth Attempt: Elise 190 again. Fifth attempt: Vertigo Race Car. Woo Hoo!

I didn't try it out much, though. By the time I was done it was really late and I just went to bed.

And I'm glad the last race was Cote d' Azure, a course I don't mind doing over and over.
