I was puttin oil in my car the other day on the side of the road and I don't have a funnel in my car and you can't just pour it in. I noticed there were some empty pop cans in my trunk so I just ripped one in half and put the drinking hole over the fill hole and poured the oil in, worked great. If you're ever in need of a funnel a pop can is a thrifty solution.

 👍
I have used a piece of paper in an emergency. Just roll it like a funnel and pour in. Doesnt last long though. You can also bend a credit card in the shape of a V and pour it in that way if you are really desperate. Or if you have a sharp object just poke a pen right into the quart of oil that way its a small hole instead of the hole that the oil cap covers.

good idea!!

I use the new Castrol GTX. Its got this special kind of cap so you can pour it straight from the bottle without any mess, its brilliant!

I always use plastic pepsi bottles as funnels. I never think to buy funnels when I'm out, and I'm definitley not going to stop working on the car to go buy a funnel.

Interestingly, a 1 liter pepsi bottle will actually thread into my engine:

Cool. I wonder if a condom or something would make a sufficient funnel. Hahaha, that'd be hilarious.

I used a 2litre Coke bottle ripped in half as a funnel when I ran out of fuel once.

Ah, the ole coke bottle funnel. Brings back memories.

Things I've used as a funnel

coke bottle (cut)
paper (rolled)
previously used oil bottle (cut)
small box (corner cut off)
plastic bag (hole in corner)
cat (not really)
funnel
piece of rubber hose
