150 mph is fast. Way too fast.
Even 100 mph is fast (and this from a guy who's driven at over 130).
See, the problem is not getting up to speed. Any monkey-nut (like this guy) can get up to speed if they have enough power.
The big problem with speed of any kind is how long it takes you to lose that speed. Braking from 100 mph gives you nearly triple the braking distance as braking from 60 mph does... from 150 mph, it's even longer. Speed doesn't kill. It's the sudden stop when you come across traffic that does.
I'm one who likes speed, but speed for speed's sake in an urban environment, personally, is just stupid. I'd rather be driving "just" 50-70 mph on a challenging canyon road than blitzing down a highway at 200.
