Ghosting... but not...

There is a way to stay on a track but be immovable but I have not idea how to do this and was hoping someone could shine some light on this for me

I see this glitch happen all too often. I am not really sure how this glitch is caused, but I'm assuming it is the result of sitting on the track for a very long period of time (several hours perhaps) without being ghosted.

This glitch can be incredibly annoying when someone stops on track and becomes immovable, blocking everyone from safely passing by. It's very common at popular tracks like Tsukuba for drift events and it probably happens at Indy Road Course, where almost all drag racing events take place.

If you or someone else really has figured out how to do this at will, please keep it to yourself and don't tell anyone. We don't need anymore roadblocks interrupting fun events.

But it's even worse when it happens to the host.

Me: "Hey guys, the host is AFK and blocking the track. Can we please vote kick him?"

Everyone else: *Lawl nope* *continues driving and hitting the host*

I've only seen it happening when a player has a bad connection and doesn't load properly for a race start. They would (probably having a black screen or already be disconnected) get stuck on the grid and when the rest of the field comes around for lap 2 they better be sure not to hit the stuck car, because it will be like running into the wall.

Actually, when a host is doing a very poor job at what they are supposed to be doing, I vote kick them. Now quit making yourself look stupid.

If the player paused his car before you join the room, it will look solid to you, while it's actually not. The result is, you can't move him, on his screen you'll just get stuck at his ghost though, so he doesn't notice what's wrong if he doesn't know.

This is greatly exploitable in big open lobbies. If it's a track with a pit you can do the ghost glitch so you're a ghost while driving around, so you can do insane rams without getting hit yourself by exploiting this.
It's fun to make the whole room mad doing this, especially if the host is afk.

I just leave and go into a pro lobby instead waiting for these randoms to kick a host. It takes forever.

I found this out out months ago. Its when I feel like causing people to be really confused. A Fiat pushing a Tank Car. Its funny.

When someone is ghosted on the track when you join in a room they (maybe not always) are solid. But on their screen they are still ghosted. It is not their fault it is just a glitch.

Started happening a few updates ago after PD put in a patch that in watch race it always shows a solid car even if they ghost
