GIF/Smiley Loading Issues

I was having this issue. This morning I disabled the HTTPS scanning in Avast and everything went back to normal and is working fine now. Have to see if the problem comes back.

All smilies are now visible again, and .gif files are now loading faster and playing smoother than they did before the Avast update.

Well, after I tried this for a couple of days, GTP and other pages didn't load anymore at all. 8/

Wow, really? Now I'm kind of scared. :scared:

So far I'm having no issues. May try turning it back on this weekend to see if the issue comes back.
 
Well, as some may have noticed from a thread which I created earlier, I suffered from the same issue regarding the smiley loading not occuring for most of the icons. I tried the "HTTPS Scanning shutdown" trick first, but that did not solve the problem right away. In the end, I added the site to the list of "sites excluded from scanning", and the smileys are all displayed properly. For now, this seems to be the best course of action, until (and if) Avast comes up with a specific, fool-proof solution for the loading problems.

Never thought Avast could cause this type of problems, but I guess I had not taken that into account...
