Hi

Has any one used this wheel with GT6? If so, is it worth it ? Whats it like ?
I only have a DS3 now, and I have no money for a proper set up, or the space, so this could/wouild be an ideal solution.

Thanks

I just got one, and these are my very first impressions, after just a few races.

First, the bad: The controller is, in fact, recognized as a controller, not as a wheel. This means there's a noticeable dead zone, which is unfortunate, but not the end of the world.

And also, the trigger buttons you use for accelerator and brake are calibrated weirdly. They are at 100% at mid-way, and the rest of the travel is just wasted. This means that the throttle in particular is very sensitive, and will require some getting used to. This is annoying, but I'm getting used to it already.

The controller has a sensitivity adjustment for the wheel turning, and you can also affect this with the controller sensitivity setting inside GT6, but there seems to be no way of adjusting the sensitivity of the triggers.

Then the good: The wheel feels nice and it works. It does afford a lot more control over the car than the standard ps3 controller. A definite step up from a standard controller.

I own a big Logitech GT wheel, and I'm quite sure it's going back into the closet. It's better, of course, but not enough so to justify the space and hassle it takes to set up.

I played forza 4 and forza horizon with microsoft's wireless wheel thing (similar to gioteck), and that one is awesome. It's the best controller for me. I prefer it over a full wheel. The gioteck is not as good as that one because of the two inconveniences mentioned above, but it's still decent, and as I said, a step up from a normal controller.

Opinions subject to change once I get more than an hour on it.

Okay, after a few more sessions, the throttle is doable for street cars, as long as they are not too twitchy by nature.

With the Audi R18 TDI I had to turn the TC back on, though.

Overall, if you want to improve your lap times, the gioteck might not do it for you, but it's ok for driving for fun.

I make it so under trash but I have used it to do first three. Licences with not to much hassle it some times is hard to catch a slide ,but it's a decent upgrade over a pad that costs just a little more than a new pad ,the new dynamics in gt6 make it more crazy another couple of months learning curve on the way

After 8 hours game play
1,this will not improve you lap times
2, ,it's totally rubbish use the sticks on the pad for faster lap times
3 ,get a very good hammer hit it till your harm hurts
4,sweep mess up ( or like my mrs ,she will go mad)
5 the motion sensors must be made of rubber and not work
6, I had three people here today we All had a hour or two testing it FR
7,do not waste your money on the useless piece of crap
8,it's not a wheel and is only recognised,as,a pad because that's all it is a fancy pad

Is it still better than playing with a controller?

I am considering buying it for those games that don't support the wheels (like GTA, Driver)
