Changed LSD settings and man.
Going from 5/15/45 to 5/60/5 made a huge difference went 6seconds faster.
Did a few more tweaks to the suspension and went another 6seconds faster.

Do you want to share your settings? If that is OK with you?

Pretty much used these settings as a base.
But these are the changes I done
Set rear ride height to 95m
Set Front Camber to 1.0
Set Front Toe Out to 0.10 and Rear Toe In to 0.10
Set Rear Downforce to 65
Set Gearbox to 210
Used NOS on setting 70

Good morning everybody. This is a new day and here comes my last entry within this competition :

Gran Turismo™ 7_20220522131210.jpg

Honestly I have no clue how to shave another significant amount of time. Guess I've reached my limits here.
Thanks to everybody taking part in this great challenge, thanks to @Barareklam 's girlfriend for her enthusiasm. 👍

If you want to try her tune, here it comes.
Somehow she reach over 590 PP but maybe my skills don't keep car stable in the track, when I drive with her tune and her car is also without wing.
I think she changed fifth gear to 218 yesterday when she tried another track, and before that was on 194.

Maybe it's the Turbo that gives her 590 PP while the other setup uses a Supercharger which is less PP if I remember correctly.
I saw NOS in some cars. Who's actually using it in this race ? And do you have an estimation about the time to be gained ?

And here are my results. Big thanks to all of you who contributed with tunes in this thread, my tune is not really mine, it's big part of your settings and I made just some tweaks. One thing that is specific for tune I use is low rpm turbo.
Just to answer on NOS i guess I gain somewhere around five seconds per lap with nitro.
Fastest lap 2:08:744, if I could make all three laps that fast, it would be even better time. But I am happy with 6:31:005 for now.

Using your setup, I just lengthened 4th and 5th gear a bit, and 170 max speed, 569 pp without nitro, very happy with the results.

I’m new to PS5 and also GT7. Can someone tell me how to post the screenshots of my race? I’m not as fast as some of you yet, but I’d still like to learn how to post my times.

Do one of these

1: Take photo of screen with phone.
2: When taking a replay screenshot click the share button on the screen to upload it to your Gran-Turismo account.
Then post image
3a: Press the share button on controller to save to PS5 media collection, then using the PS app on your phone, download it to the phones memory and then use it when posting off phone or upload it to cloud storage and then use it when posting off desktop
3b: Press the share button on controller to save to PS5 media collection, then using a USB drive, copy it to the USB and then use a PC to post

When browsing the boards on PC you can also use PS Remote play to make a screenshot (color loss and reduced resolution)

When using a phone, you can use Playstation App to import your console Screenshots and then post them instead of using your camera. Screenshot in full quality.

I couldn't resist to run two more races yesterday night. I finally broke into the 6.32s with 2.09 laps again, still using the Supercharger
( which is quicker imo than a Turbo ) and no NOS. I'm perfectly happy with that, yet, I still do not understand why there's such big differences in lap times without obvious reasons ( not talking about traffic ) - from 2.09 to 2.12.
Does anyone of you have similar experiences ? Ideas ?

You mean your own lap times while feeling you are driving very consistent?
Wind direction and strength is not the same from every time you start the event but actually has some impact on how the car behaves.
I noticed this on Route X, where the car sometimes will do slightly left or right movements, or post different times with no changes and using automatic transmission to remove any slight difference of shifting acceleration benefits I could manually have over the next attempt.
Maybe it is exaggerated here.

Ok Ok ... it's withdrawal from retirement

Your steadily improving times did turn me on and man, I was completely wrong regarding the mid range turbo. :sly:
Furthermore I realized that though I had bought the racing intercooler, I hadn't used it. :odd:

And that's what happened :

And hey, what a great and friendly competition this has become - respect !

P.S.
For completeness here's the setup I used ( nothing new though, a mix from what was posted already ) :

Wow! Great fast lap and race time! Nice driving! We may be old but we're not slowing down.
I agree this has been a really fun and friendly competition.
One thing I forgot to mention is when I added the turbo I had to move the final gear from 3503 to 3185.
I'll edit that post.

What speed are you hitting? This is without nitrous, right?

 have mercy on that poor Mini!

I'll have a look at my top speed the next time I run.
I'm not using nitrous I don't think Rocket Joe is either.
But the way Rocket Joe and I are going I think both of us will be using nitrous before we're done.

I agree, She has done a much better job than PD.
This has been more fun than anything else I've done in the game.
Thank you very much young lady.

I tried to use this turbo-Mini at the Human Comedy race at Alsace, but it just couldn’t keep up in the long haul because the PP limits de-fanged it. I was disappointed that I out all that work into it and then had no use for it. This new “Girlfriend Cup” was just what I needed!

We need to find more of these weird events where we can tune some crappy old cars to beat the field. It’s much more fun than I expected, and now I’m wondering what other old jalopies I can win with. One model per event. Any suggestions?

123 mph in a few places with no slipstream. 125 but only if I can get in the slipstream of Beauvois or Maraglino.
Haven't tried nitrous so far.

I added a front spoiler.

Wow, totally amazing. I have no idea how you guys reach under 6:30 without nitro. I will try your tune but I doubt I will be under 6:40 without nitro.

Try this one, on dirt track.
