I had small problems with this when I started.

You have to more or less judge when to downshift depending on the entry speed into the corner (It's a little tricky to explain).

I say don't down all the gears in a single pressing fury.

Are you online??

I would arrive in one of those Mad Max interceptors and start talking about rev matching and downshifting and all that stuff to you young whipper-snappers (I can't believe I said whipper-snappers :crazy:).

Ok.

You have to let the revs go down significantly while braking to downshift effectively.

You also have to know at what KMH the cars hits Redline at.

It's more instinctive than just having someone teach you it in a game.

I usually nail my downshifts even if I'm driving a car I've never driven before in GT5 or any other game with an MT option.

I dunno how I do it but me thinks it's about instinct.

Is there space for a reserve person? I haven't raced online for over a year on GT5, but quite tempted by a GT inspired series. I've done some online racing, but not in anything as quick as these 'GT3' cars (I've raced a Cappuccino to 400PP regs and a 'GT4' spec Evora!).
 
Yeah there are a lot of Reserve spaces for you :).
 
Maybe so but isn't accusing him of being a cheater just crossing the line a tad bit.
