Seriously, has anyone played a game with so many glitches?

As each "patch" arrives, a new glitch is found as a replacement. Now I know nothing of programming games, but allowing cars to finish races without even driving round the track seems, I don't know, an amateurish mistake ?

What? Another track has a glitch?

But, I have played a lot of games with a lot more glitches, I don't notice them really, unless they are put on here, and I look for them.

I don't worry about the glitches as I don't use them and I've not noticed that other people using them impacts the way I play the game.

I've played a lot of games with much more glitches. Such as Empire: Total War, Fallout: New Vegas, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, F1 2010...GT5 with it's mere 2 track glitches and some cars issues is very good compared to them.

I think they are cheats not glitches. Intentional ways to make money.

now if you leave the track your car gets reseted back on track.....

Try F1 2010 and then tell me....

With millions of fans spending more time playing GT5 than driving their own RL cars (or in some cases, sleeping/working even), I think glitches are hard to avoid. Particularly if folks are actually actively looking for them - bumping into rails, reversing into things and all. :dopey:

Its merely the law of probability and large numbers.

As anyone who has worked in QA will tell you: each fix introduces a new bug.

Thing with these exploits (from what I've seen) they involve ONE car hitting ONE point of a barrier on ONE track in ONE very specific way. That kind of stuff is nigh on impossible to find in the QA process, other than by luck.

Fallout 3 says hi.

Pretty much every game has glitches, the more users a game has the more glitches are found.

I'd say it's not a glitch and it doesn't affect you in anyway if you just play "normal" and race and try to win! It's more a exploit because you actively take advantage of the fact that you can go out of tracks at certain pionts and get cash and XP in an "unfair" way. I actually don't care what others do but I understand that PD isn't happy about it and if there are people looking that hard for other exploits PD will never get to work on updates, that add some content to the game.

Oh god! This is so true. Even if you don't look for glitches, they are basically everywhere you go. It didn't distract the fact the game was epic win, but the glitches were terribly common.

I don't look for glitches, unless there is a really funny one, where it doesn't break the game and is just funny to watch (Like ones in Fallout 3 most of the time).

Test Drive Unlimited 2 and Shift 2 dropping in to say hello.

Don't leave out Mario and Luigi, greetings from 8 bit landpile...

Shift on ps3 was full of glitches and bugs more than a year after release and EA had no intention of fixing them, the slow motion bug, the track disappearing bug, the dfgt self steering pre race bug and the freezing/crashing bug.

At least PD are getting on top of things as they are found (not saying PD are perfect but they are better than EA support wise) EA just don't care and release the next game.

I have had the game lock up on me at least 3-4 times. In fact, I was doing some B-spec grinding Dream Car Series last night and it locked up on the very last screen where the series trophy is awarded. I lost an hours worth of time (no cash for any of the races). That was quite annoying (although it would have been more annoying in A-spec).

That being said, overall, considering the complexity of the game and code, I'm impressed on how FEW glitches there are.

Why should they fix a game when they are just going to release a new one in about a years time. Their mentality is why fix it now when they can buy the new game that has a few of the bugs fixed and support us.

Call of Duty: Black Oops says Hi.

+1 :)

and fallout 3..

GT5 for me is glich free game!

Rush 2 Extreme Racing USA had a lot of glitches. There were multiple places in each track where you could easily break through. I still play that game... the cars handle so horribly it's a challenge to do a good lap.

I'm pretty sure Big Rigs Over The Road Racing is worse.
Maybe the worst game ever. :)
You need to google it if you're unfamiliar with the game.
Pretty funny stuff.

This

PD completely fixed any out of track glitches by doing this on 1.09. But you can still get out of track, but not too far away from the track or else you will be resetted to back on the track.

Someone give me an entire list of "glitches" they're found, because I don't imagine there's many glitch in the game.

I haven't really noticed that many glitch in the game. What glitch that we know of have already been fixed and the only game-killing one has already been fixed (The GT5 kill bug).

I find it ridiculous that a person would call this the most glitch up game they've ever played unless it's the only one they've played.

Saints Row 2 has more glitches than you can shake a carbon driveshaft at.

Naughty Bear says Hi.

Seriously look it up it's unplayable.

If someone finds a opening in the track that can be broken through, then essentially it's not a glitch. Glitches are more like sudden things that slow down and/or stop gameplay periodically.

I prefer the term "bug" or even "issue", but whatever.
