Dont know if this has been mentioned yet, but Hotmail have just sent an email to all of their users saying that the storage space will be upped to 250mb and file attachments will be upped to 10mb or something like that.

G-Mail still pwns Hotmail.








Damn crappy Hotmail! :(
 
Yeah I got that E-Mail. I hate Hotmail now. Always have really, I always wanted more space and a faster running Email service...and then Gmail came along...:D

I don't even see what the big deal about Gmail is all about. I've had it way before you made this thread and I'm still stroking my chin wondering who the hell needs 1GB of email storage? I've come to the conclusion it's just the namesake (Google)...
 
I didn't say everyone. :)

To tell you the truth I don't really need 1GB of storage but I can deal with it. I just never delete any of my mail again. Haha.

Not really...before this thread was made, alot of people had Gmail, and the fad was wearing down a bit.

Well, I don't delete anything, I receive Video and Music files...It is useful. And it's good to know it's there. 👍
 
Gmail now has a thing you download that automatically checks your inbox. It is a small download so 56kers, don't worry! It is under the "whats new" tab in the top of the window.

Gmail seems a bit slower at the moment, and I'm getting some errors lately. Also occasionally when I try to sign in it just stays on the blank screen with just "LOADING..." appearing on it. I have to refresh, and then I keep getting Internet Explorer errors.

I never have problems with my gmail account. I never get load errors. Rarely is it that I even see the word loading in the upper left corner of the window.
 
I'm on 56K, so it's kind of hard to miss it. But I couldn't get on it for ages today. They have new features, and ever since they done this it seems to be screwing up. :grumpy:
 
It only works with Windows 2000 and XP.

Also, I think the invites thing is over now. Most people have Gmail, and people that don't already most likely know 100 other people with it. Gmail is taking over Hotmail, like they said they would. I'm just waiting for Gmail Messenger or something. :lol:
