Going down the my local walmart tonight to pick up The Animatrix

Im really not in to anime too much but hey, im a matrix fan.

Most of the episodes are not drawn in "anime" style. Most are animated and the first one used CG.

Cool they had it at 2 in the morning. Also got the movie with jack nicholson "About Schmidt" Hope its good.

About Schmidt is really really good.. Watched it on the plane both to and from Seattle...

I went to see About Schmidt with the wife and some friends. It roared over their heads line a cruising 747, but I thought it was fantastic. I think they were expecting something to happen, which it did, but not on the level they were expecting. I thought it was excellent.

I loved that film. It was the style of humour that can be excrutiating at times, but it was a brilliant film - Nicholson was great- he's doing some of the older roles so well, like this and 'The Pledge'. I was hoping he'd win the Oscar.

To get back on topic:
I'm looking forward to The Animatrix - I didn't get a chance to see it in the cinema. Fantastic concept - I guess that's the beauty of The Matrix universe, it does allow the exploration of these wider themes and ideas, and to do it in animation allows a cheaper (and therefore more accessible) way to present it.

Well, I picked it up today. I had seen four of the episodes because I downloaded them over a two month period(the big ones over 56k). However, the ones I had not seen are simply incredible. My favorite out of all of them right now has to be either Final Flight of the Osiris or Matriculated. They all are very well written; It's just too hard to really pick a favorite.
