I have to agree that the Golf has really poor handling. The first A7 championship I did was fine and then second with the twisty time trials was a complete pain. It's probably the worst sounding car in the game aswell. If I were VW I would be pretty pissed that it's represented so badly.

steered away from the golf and went with the mito instead, now im glad i did that, even better idea was the spyker d8 for the B3 championship

I've not used my G27 since about 5mins after driving the Lancia, switched to a gamepad, so i'm not sure if the patch addressed wheel support, but the GTI has definitely had some sort of handling change, it was one of the worse cars in the game before, and since testing it after the patch i found it very easy.

It's a real shame about the Golf, as it looks cool in the showroom with the tartan seats, 18" wheels and petrol blue paint.

He must have destroyed his controller trying to win the A 7 championship in a GTI with just one race left.....a TIME TRIAL....lol!

I think the Golf VI, Aston martin V12 Vantage, and the Subbie Impreza are horrible handling cars in this game...

I personally have no problem with the golf. I am driving Full H-Pattern + Clutch on a G27 and after 20 mins or so of a little bit of spinning I learnt how to drive it properly.

You just have to be very smooth, use up all the tracks and take up a nearly perfect line. I found it kept you on your toes and aware of whats going on :).

Lets be honest, it shouldnt need 20 mins or so to learn how to drive a ****ing Golf! LOL!

I tried it out on a two-minute test drive from the dealership and my word, what is it with the rotation at very low speed!? It's as if it gets to about 4mph on full lock and moon physics take over.

Dreadful.

I got it for $30 at gamestop :D btw if you reserve a copy to pickup at the store on the website, you get $5 off of the 39 bucks
