sounds interesting, iv found zero other information on the net tho.

Gone in 30 Seconds? How cheesy is that?

And using the GT500? I'll bet the movie makes it seem 1,000 times better in performance than reality.

But I'll see this if it has a lot of cool cars.

i think its a stupid idea, naff car films are in abundance these days. i only watched the other gone in 60s films for the cars lol, certainly not the acting  wouldnt mind seeing an xj220 actually moving again! :dopey: id see this as long as its not another yawnsome same-old exotics playaround  chances are it will be lol, heres hoping they dont shorten the eleanor chase even more than the last one did too!

Eurgh...the biggest thing that's been jarring me off lately is a second sequel to Ocean's 11, which never had sequels in the first place...now they're going to ruin another half decent movie by giving it a brand new sequel

In terms of modern car-movies, Gone in 60 Seconds has to be far from the worst in the "new era." That title would probably go to Redline, followed by the last few Fast and Furious movies, but truthfully, Gone in 60 Seconds was a pretty good movie. Granted, nothing lives up to the McQueen origional (nobody can touch him), but it did a decent job.

...I'd care more to hear about the story than anything else. Sequel-wise, it probably isn't the best idea, but it is awfully hard to criticize something when you have no idea what its about...

As long as they make it dark and gritty, filled with tasteful car Pr0n, and of course a wonderfully long chase sequence, then it would be worth it...

McQueen wasnt in the original >.> hey anyone ever seen bits from the original sequel and the other Halicki film called The Junkman?

The original had one of those chases that will be in my mind forever! It was a long and great chase, can't imagine how long it took to film that chase. I didn't really have a problem with Gone in 60 seconds myself. It wasn't as good as the original but it did entertain me. The GT500 in that movie sounded so good in the movie theatre, just rumbled you. Im a big Nicholas Cage fan also though. Far as the F&F movies go, geeze they were all pretty cheesy and lame. The first wasn't horrible but the others where just bad. Especially the 2nd with all of its crappy CGI cars, they would have CGI cars drifting around corners! I wouldn't mind seeing a Gone in 30 seconds if they kept the same cast...just no rappers this time please.

Ok i just found this....gonein_60_seconds_2/

Is this the same thing? If so they don't have the same cast at all. GONE IN 60 SECONDS 2: This is the never-before-seen sequel that was never finished. Director Halicki died while filming one of the stunt scenes. This sequel features some of the most amazing car stunts ever filmed.

I don't think they'll be able to pull this off again. They got away with it the first time, but I can't see anyone jumping to go and watch another one with a weak plot line and questionable stunts. I still enjoy watching it, but you can't deny it was a mediocre film when you think about it.

For example, the first thing that comes to mind when I try and remember this film is the bit at the beginning and the scene where Cage and Jolie are just about to do it in the Lambo. (At least I think that happened. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. Anyway...)

Not that I wouldn't rent it or anything. (To hell with the cinema...) But that's probably because I'm hardly a movie connoisseur, judging by the fact I'll watch any old crap...

The Nick Cage "Gone in 60" wasn't bad. I thought it was pretty entertaining, actually, in that guilty pleasure kind of way. If the sequel is going to be as good as the first one, I'd probably watch it on DVD.

I'm not a fan of the original "Gone in 60". I think I fast forwarded a lot of it.

heres great clip from gone in 60 seconds 2 :dopey:
eleanor makes an appearance too :D

bring back some carnage like halicki! with better acting of course lol
apparently halicki got killed by a water tower that was gonna be knocked over but it fell over early oops :scared:

Holy hell man, haha. "The cables aren't holding!", yeah i see that. Man the acting in that was almost as bad as anna nicole smith's! Its prob a good thing they didn't finish it because it would have been a total dud. What really gets on my nerves in movies is when like here the "slicer" hits under a car and the car goes up in the air and for no reason at all it blows up? "ok boys the car is in the air, hit the charge!"

yea it was a bit showy lol there are a few clips of the Junkman on youtube too i think the films were interesting just to see how ridiculous it got lol
