I was wondering if you guys could recommend me a good tuning car for this championship? I'm looking to only buy ready-made tuned cars i.e. Mine's Skyline, HPA TT, etc rather than buying a stock vehicle and upgrading it myself. I'm in love with the HPA TT but at 640,000 cr, it's far too steep for me at the moment.
I've got a Nismo 400R and a Tommykaira ZZ-II in my garage. I wouldn't have thought the 400R would be any good but the ZZ-II should be with 570hp?

Thanks but I'd rather not 'cheat' ;) and besides, I'm only on lv. 17 at the moment.

Ok, I know technically it's not cheating but I want a challenge.

I personally like the Amuse S2000 GT1.
Fell in love with it in GT5P.
A very good car, or you try the ARTA NSX?

Yeah, the Amuse S2000 GT1 is an absolute monster of a car :-)

The ARTA NSX is great but then it's a race car rather than a tuning car.

What's the stats of the hardest AI?
Then it would be easier to suggest a car that will make the race competitive and enjoyable 👍

I think you can get the AMG SLS at lvl 17. I just did the tuned car championship with all power upgrades, turbocharger, sport suspension, weight reductions, racing soft tires. Wasn't even a contest, and you probably won't even spend 250,000 and end up with an awesome looking car to photograph and very fun to drive.

A Skyline GT-R of some sort. Maybe an R32/33 depending on the field.

I used a Nissan R390 GT1 road car, tuned, and it was superb.

If not the ZZII should be fine, it's a seriously quick car, use sports soft or racing hard tyres.

I won it in a Holden Commodore SS using Lion's Den Performance Tune. That made for a really fun series. The first race was a dog fight with the RUF Yellow Bird, but I ended up taking him on the last corner & crossed the finish line door to door. I won every other race handily. Check out their tune on that car.

If you're still looking for a good car that's not too fast that you'll win too easily or too slow that you'd lose badly, the Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera is great car. If you're using a FFB steering wheel and a pretty decent driver, use Sport Hard tires and you'll get a good close race from the AI especially if you like racing cleanly. Even for controller users, Sport Soft would do the trick. My next advice to check the "typical opponent" list and use the type of cars and power listed as a general guideline.

I just bought the Mines skyline for this race. I haven`t touched it,will it be good enough to win? The car list shows some lighter and more powerful cars. How did you do it with a SS commodore? I have one with just over 400hp,it would have to be fully tuned to win this race wouldn`t it or is the competition pretty slow?

Any car will work as long as you upgrade your car, those cars are weak. Actually you are better of just buying a stock vehicle and upgrading it, you will have more of a challenge.

I used the Carbon R slightly modded :). Probably could have won it stock though.
