Good Fanatec support experience

So according too mr Latte we need to have some standards in which someone with a low post count needs to adhere to when posting in threads where Fanatec does not make them happy.

I have taken the liberty of analyzing and breaking down mr Lattes well thought out response. So new members "ye shall or ye shall not"

  • exhaggerates things (sic)
  • dramatic in their report
  • talk about common sense
  • sensible/responsible
  • anyone could create a thread and tell a bunch of lies too
  • any post should be based on the facts at hand
  • the attitude or claims the individual makes

I hope I have not missed anything, does this look about right. Mods please make this a sticky and have all new members read when posting anything negative about Fanatec.

I dunno amf, Daan is usually pretty hot on this sort of thing. Perhaps he's on holiday? :)

It really is. This constant bickering is making us all look like little children. Its sad when so many intelligent people cannot put petty garbage behind them and move on. I'm pretty sure we are driving people away from this section of the forum. Didnt Logiforce say he was done posting for a while? Im sure there are others as well.

I enjoy reading this part of gtplanet, i have learned alot if things here. Lately its just been a nightmare. Feel like im reading the script to like jersey shore or something.....



I try to be as helpful as possible here, but am finding it harder and harder to because I am afraid of how to word things without coming off as a sympathizer,defender,fanboy what have you for whatever company it may be.
 
I certainly wasnt arguing, if anything expressing my own opinion and didnt refer to anyone. Seems I'm not allowed to have an opinion now and every post gets analysed.

Then again judging by the accounts recently posted. Im also bought and paid for, in bed with Thomas, untrustworthy and a preacher for Fanatec. Such are the comments of the "righteous brothers" here.

It's fine to say that about me though isnt it but hell lets defend some guy that is criticising Fanatec. I think its clear some people have it in for me lately.

Well done to those involved, hope your happy, pointless arguing and did I say "no point turning this thread into a debate" but some couldnt resist it seems.

I agree, this is good news, maybe a turning point for Fanatec. Caz, let sleeping dogs lie, no need to re hash that atrocious thread.

If its going to continue at least can we keep it in one place. Enough is enough already.

Dont want to burst your bubble but after reading your last 3 posts (or 2 as one was a double post) I couldnt find in them any on topic sim racing hardware stuff...
So as I believe no one made you a Mod here (or else you wouldnt be double posting - read AUP) why not let them (Mods) do their job and leave the topic alone...

And I'm not looking at it from a mods point of view. I am looking at it as Someine who enjoys talking about hardware etc
 
Bahhhhhhhh! You guys are the worst... All of you. I made a post maybe a week ago about how many Fanatec thread gets derailed by the SAME several people bickering. Nothing has changed since then...

It seems that even the mods have forsaken this board as utterly hopeless.
 
My intentions expressed to left888 in PM are clear.
I have little interest in having much further input on these forums with the current abusive replies and argumentive attitudes. Their was no need to reflect on the previous thread in here and my own comments were to express my own viewpoint to the earlier comments made. These points I made did not criticise or attack others. Yet left888 you want to go quoting and making fun to further argue?

I have been made feel guilty in having a CSRE Beta wheel with the intentions of doing a very good report on it. I believe that is part reason for the hostility I have had to endure particulary by the same two people for the last two weeks.

Well done to you guys and I hope the others getting wheels do not get a similar treatment. Oh I guess they will be a pack of "Fanatec Fanboys" as they entered a vote to get one. Let me turn the blanket on so we can all get in the bed together.

I think the cookie jar is just about empty.
 
Well mr Latte since you mention the PM's why don't you tell the good people why you said you love to play with people in threads to upset them as much as you can? Why is it it is ok for you to tell people what is ok to say and what is not. Treat people fair and they will do the same!

For the record I sent you an apology stating I did not intend on singling you out but apparently I did. But you chose to ignore it and sent me another rant. So I tried another softer apology and once again it was met with another rant.

For trying to help someone who posted about problems with their Fanatec purchase I got jumped on by you and mayaman, for defending the right to speak. You did not want anything to do with that and you stated it many times. Just because you don't agree with someone does not give you the right to tell them off.

I am not going to talk about this again and whether joking or not other members should do the same. Again I apologize for any remarks I made to upset or otherwise any members here.

Everytime I post something in a reasonable manner it is beat down or discarded by you.
All this "Freedom of speech" nonsense you have repeated over and over and over. Yet you wont get off my case. Your still going back to that thread with the same thing we have read 10 times now.

I told you over a week ago that we would not agree on the matter but had different views. You go back on the forums and take what we have just discussed in PM to create further quotes or attacks on me. So no I wont accept your apologies as they like most of your personal attacks seem to be false.

The people here deserve that you please show the proof of me stating that "I post to annoy or upset people." Do not bring it up and then sidestep it saying you dont care.

I am done with you, no more and do not continue to read or reply to my future posts made. That is the best solution.

I want to put out the credit where it's due.

Long story short my CSP throttle sensor started to suffer a fault over the festive season.
Decided not to submit a ticket until the new year.
Last night I sent in my request.
This morning Johannes replied telling me that as soon as possible he will send out the replacement.

That's all I can ask for really and I am impressed. It helps to know exactly what info they want as it cuts down on E mails back and for. Video showing your fault via PC profiler and your shipping address moves things along.

My last issue was dealt with within a week also. That was around 3 months ago.

As I've previously stated. I've had problems too but I am not shy in giving praise where deserved.
 
I moved recently, repeatedly explained to them where they should send PWTS and CSP. And they insist was sent under the old address, even though I changed my data on their website and sent the correct address in the RMA. It was very annoying, as is happening, perhaps because of discrimination against Polish buyers. Somebody explain to me why Poland is excluded from this elite group? We are one of the neighbors. Sorry for the google translator, the point is that Poland has long ago joined the European Union. And we are treated as a third world country.

Wow... you really have to be more clear here. How is shipping it incorrectly, treating you like a 3rd world country. That's an awful statement to make based on the shipping of a wheel (which is the only bit of information you revealed).

On topic 100% Crystal in the LA location for Endor (Fanatec) shipping is a dream to deal with. The best CSR of all time (and I've dealt with more than my share of them).

Pointing to the example of a third world country I mean, Fanatec company policy. Poland is situated so close to the German that was first invaded during the Second World War. And yet for Endor is more distant than any country in Europe or even another continent.
The problem with the correct address at which they should return the repaired items, was repeated twice. In spite of my earnest petition to correct my address. Probably because no sales on Polish territory.

My wife bought me the GT3RS V2 wheel at the end of November where she payed through Paypal. By the time I opened my $600s worth of wheel, clubsport pedals, and stand they were already out of warranty. No big deal with the rights to the Porsche name and german engineering behind this product I am not worried. After all the inital excitement of putting everything together I get the game fired up gran Turismo 5, power up the wheel, then put it into Playstation mode. I have not touched anything other than the power buttom and putting the wheel into playstation mode at this point - yet I hear a faint sound as if the circle or back button is being depressed. From here I navagate or try to navigate through the GT5 menu to get into a race. The problem is as fast as I move foreward the sound keeps going and backing up my menu choices to the previous screen. Once I make some blazing fast choices and get to a practice track it's time to race - I press the accelarator and get going but for some reason the brakes are being applied even though I only have my hands on the wheel going straight and foot on the gas pedal. If you look at the heads up display where the brake meter shows how much brakes are being applied you can see the brakes are going crazy on and off. So I stop the car on the track and let it just sit there. Without touching anything, mind you the wheel is in PS mode, the brakes are going on and off and I am NOT touching anything. From here I google just about everything I can about the wheel etc and have no idea what causes this problem but I do find a video of the circuit board that shows the plastic button under the playstation back/circle button. Maybe this is the problem I don't know. All I know is that this product that is more expensive than most of it's competition has never worked since I opened the box and it is supposed to work with GT5 on the PS3. From here I start calling Beverly Hills Endor where they never answer the phone and their operator system guides you to leave voice messages with anonymous departments that never return your calls. After repeated e-mails I find out my e-mail has been sent to germany where they have no obvious intent to exchange this broken from new product. After my very detailed description of the issue they request video and tell me he needs more proof. Mind you if my wife purchased another competitors product from Amazon an exchange would have been made for a new properly working product and I would be playing right now instead of being mad and blogging a warning to all of you potential owners. As a customer I feel it should not be necessary for me to help resolve their own quality control issue or help with his suggestion that if he has further proof he can send me a part for me to do the repairs or I can then be approved to return the product for repair and get the same supposed repaired product in return. I am not even sure if they intend to pay for the shipping to them if I am given the choice to send it to them. The bottom line is this may be a great working product when it works but if you get one of the poorly built ones good luck to ya - they will not accept any responsibility and you will need to jump through many hoops before you have the luxury of getting something that works from the time you open the box. If Fanatec cared about their reputation they would have assumed responsibility, this would have been exchanged, and I would be a happy customer. This is not the case.

I live in England and have had exactly the same experience of moving, informing Fanatec but goods repeatedly going to my former address as you, so please don't be offended or read too much into it. They can mess up a delivery anywhere in the world First or Third (whatever happened to the Second?). Mind you you may have a point we did score that controversial 3rd goal in 1966....

I also just had a great experience with their support (and started a thread about it before I saw yours, I'm sorry to say!). They emailed me back same-day asking me where to send a replacement power supply for the DOA one that came with my CSRE. My email to them was on Saturday afternoon, and the reply was Monday very early (same day in my book since they don't do weekends).

Your view/experience is well written, just make sure next time it's not a wall of text.
 
I sent a mail to Fanatec support because cables used for connecting the CSR Elite wheel rim and wheel base got stuck inside the wheel rim.
They replied within two workdays and said I could open the wheel rim.
It was easy to solve the problem after opening the wheel rim.
