What do you guys think is a good game for a low performance PC? I can't get my Alienware PC until Christmas and I wanna have something to play until then, I have PS2, but all I play is GT3............ Any good games out there for a crappy PC? I already have Warcraft III and its Expansion, Age of Empires: II and its Expansion, Rise of NAtions and its Expansion, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, and Gunbound. And I'm still bored as............................. Thanks for the help. 👍

Well I have a thinkpad in my room upstairs and it suck 8 mb video card 64 mb ram 20 gig harddrive well you get the thing right so when I am on trips I usually play on the laptop and have a little fun I play sports car gt (Runs perfect no lag) Driver ( a little lag)

HTanks for the replies, and no I don't own a car, I'm only 14!

Why don't you look to your PS2 for good games? There are other (good) games besides GT3.

There aren't, IMO, many good games for PS2 that I don't own yet. I have: GTA: III and Vice city, Gran Turismo 3, Driv3r, Tony Hawk's Proskater 3, 4, Underground, Midnight Club II, Final Fantasy XII, X, X-2, Tactics, State of Emergency, Burnout, 2, Lethal Skies, Ace Combat 04, Need for Speed: Hot Pusruit 2, Underground, SOCOM, II, SSX 3. Sorry for going on and on about the games I got for PS2 :D :D :D

If the pc is really that bad, I'd install linux. If you know what you're doing in terms of configuration, you'll be able to make it handle a lot of games better than they would otherwise under Windows.

Try to get Midievel (sp?) Total War. Great strategy game 👍.

WHy 2 undergrounds? typo?

Uplink - only a few years old (2001). But it's a totally fun low-tech game that puts you in the virtual shoes of a hacker. If you're into Gibson's books or cyberlore, then it's a pretty cool and inexpensive game.

Looks like a typo. FFXII is no where near completed.

Have you tried Live for Speed? That game could run on any modern system.

Dig up a Quake II cd somewhere... Install all the add ons you can find.. Hours of good phun left in that baby 👍

I am always on the prowl for old classic games.
Here are a few that you might be interested in:
Star Craft/Brood Wars (That will run on a p100)
Unreal and Unreal Tournament (You dont need a beast of a PC to play that)
Quake 2 and 3
Heroes of Might and Magic
Diablo 1 and 2

Just to name some

How crappy is the PC?

I'd recommend Quake 1 & 2. I've played those games to destruction. NFS: Porsche Unleashed also ran just ducky on my old K6-2 500 with a Voodoo 3 PCI. :D

I didnt know it came out.and i thought the newest one was just final fantsy XI.
Sorry, i meant Final Fanatsy VII, and thanks for the replies everyone, I have some of the games that you guys entioned, I just don't know where. And my PC is a DELL, 3.2 gigahertz (sp?), 256 mb of RAM, 64 mb Video Card (made by Intel, eww!), 73 gig hard drive, some other junk in the PC I don't really care bout!

Anyone ever play Castle of the Winds? Great game. I ran it on my old Packard Bell 486.

Battlefield Vietnam actually runs pretty nice with all the settings on low. Just make sure you have a good internet connection.

Integra Type R
Tony Hawk Underground and Need For Speed Underground.
Oh ok thanks
And I just went to the alien ware site and came up with a total of about $25,000 USD for a fully loaded pc with everyting at the fullest upgrade.

Well yeah, the fullest upgrade probably means things like $600 video cards, $400 CPUs, $80 mice, 250+ gig hard drives..

If you liked Warcraft, try Starcraft, the graphics aren't 3D, but that doesn't make such a difference in a RTS, and the balance between races is better. I've enjoyed playing Diablo II a lot, too. For FPS, I'm too much old school, I still play Quake 3 once in a while. If your machine supports it, Medal of honor is pretty good too. For a racing game, GTR Press demo is worth trying if you have a wheel.

Um just because a PC isnt over $3,000 doesnt mean its crappy it just means it isnt good for playing computer games but if you have a deasent processor and video card ull be fine! DUH!
