good news for all gt4 fans

hope its true and they have more real life tracks in the game by relese. i am glad the racing mods are back because when they were not in gt 3 i was dispointed. Hope they have some classic f1 cars in the game to as well as some classic race tracks from the 50, 60, and 70s.

weather changing mid race sounds a bit to good for GT, in that in GT3 only 1 track had permenant rain.

Being able to choose time/weather for each track would be cool, I particually like evening races(e.g. Deep Forest in GT1) I dunno why

Don't care about ferrari, just give me a lambo countach :trouble:

And release date for Europe........... dissapointing but not suprising & is probably close to the mark

20 cars per month= 240 per year
240cars per year x 5 years = 1200 cars
GT3 was released in June/July 2001 so they should be ready in say 2006 :rolleyes:

If they have Monza in the game, I don't care about all the rest.

How many cars will be in the game?

That's not certain yet. At this moment we have about 550 cars. We have enough licenses to put about 4.000 cars in the game. We'll just keep building cars untill the game is released. One person needs 4 days to build a car from scratch. We have a team to make the cars that includes 10 people. 5 of them are constantly travelling to measure sounds etc. So there's 5 people left so we can build about 5 cars per week (ROXA's note : strange mathematics there). We hope the definitive game will count about 1200 cars. Another change will be that we will not only feature new cars, but all kinds of cars. We have modern cars, oldtimers and also prototypes or cars we won't see for another 2 or 3 years.

550 cars is what they may have so far so on a current basis:
(1200 for GT4 is very unlikely)

550 Cars / 5 Cars a week = 110 weeks
110 weeks / 52 = 2.11 Years

Sort of realistic.

GT3 2001, GT4 2003/4?

i also hope they will have some Groupe B rally cars and some rally courses that are point to point rather then laps.

I hope that have the le mans track the older one befor the chicanes in the mulsane straight. And the old Spa. As well and the Rouen les Essarts track in france.

And some more le mans cars from the 70s and 80s.

My favorite racing car is the Porsche 917. As pd dose not have the rights to Porsche yet only Ruf do you think they could do a RUF 917 or am i just dreaming.

Since he mentioned Silverstone and Monza, i hope tracks like Spa, Interlagos and Jacarepagua (Both F1 and Cart OVAL course) are in the game.
That would rock!

The original Silverstone track would be a dream come true too.

I would love to have the old Nurburgring in gt 4 but i imagine its to big to fit in, and imagin programing the Ai. remember its over 12 miles a lap.

The old 8 mile Spa-Francorchamps would also be my choice.

It would indeed. The fastest lap on the Ring recorded Stefan Bellof 1983 with his Porsche 956 during practice in 6:11 min. i think he crashed a few laps later. You should buy the dvd In car 956 of amazon Derek Bell 5 time le mans winner drives a poursche 956 round the ring as well as other race tracks.

There was this German Long distance champoionship there and the points system was made so that any car could win te whole championship and the car which won it was a,get this:

There were all sorts. Porsches,BMWs,Opels and even 2 German touring cars. Mind you, this was in 1992. I think the proper name for the championship was the Veedol Endurance Trophy. Heard of it?

F1 cars stoped racing there after 1976 after Niki lauder near fatel crash. The f1 lap record is 6'58.6 min which was set by Niki Lauda in 1975. Niki Lauda had to be draged out by other drivers as there were no marshels present. But sports cars raced there untill 1983 when the new track was built. In ist hey day the ring could have up to 500.000 spectors for the f1 races or the 1000km sports cars races.
